Got this for my dad who has very sensitive skin, and it works perfectly. Being unscented and hypoallergenic, it doesn’t cause any irritation or itchiness like other brands. It provides even foam coverage, a smooth cooling shave, and feels like a high-quality product all around. Will continue to re-order for him.

I wanted to try something new as I’ve used shave butter over 10 years. I remember seeing this at an actual Art of Shaving store when they were still around and always wanted to try it. I actually looked at this product for a few days before I bought it and saw it on sale one day and decided to try it. Glad I did, the AI review summary said people were saying this was the best cream they used, and I would have to agree. The shave butter I used before did shave better but the shave quality was far superior with this product. My face hasn’t been this smooth in a while. I usually feel some stubble after using the butter, not with this cream. Close and smooth. I do use a shaving brush with this cream, which I feel helps. I will buy again at full price if $35. I feel the quality is there. Well worth it.

I got this shaving cream because I heard it was good if you have sensitive skin. I used it and was surprised I didn’t get any bumps or any type of discomfort afterwards. Also the quality of the actual shaving cream is great. The bottle on the left lasted me a good couple of months. I shave about once every 4 days and it’s lasted awhile. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a better shaving cream.

I really like this shaving cream and I'm now on my second jar. It has a nice scent and a small amount is all I need to use for a good shave. Yes, it's expensive, but it lasts a long time and is so much nicer to use than the stuff that comes in a can. I'll buy another jar when my current one runs out.

I generally like Art of Shaving products, even though they tend to be over priced. If you are someone who is using your average drugstore shaving cream than you will think this cream is outrageously priced. There are definitely other creams which are priced lower and do just as good a job as this cream. Specifically, the three T's of the wetshaving world come to mind, those are TOBS (Taylor of Old Bond Street), Trumpers, and Truefitt and Hill. However, this is a cream that you can actually find in a lot of local malls because it is carried by stores like Nordstroms, Dillards, and Macys. With the other creams I mentioned you will most likely have to purchase them online.I think Art of Shaving gets a lot of things right with their shaving creams. First they do a very good job with the smell. I have used this scent, sandalwood and the unscented version. I like the sandalwood scent the best, but the lavender is nice for my sensitive skin. I will tell you this, it is not a very masculine scent. So if you don't want to be smelling lavender for the first few hours of your day, then don't use this product. However if you do like the smell of lavender than Art of Shaving nails the scent, as they do with all their creams. Second, I like that Art of Shaving makes an aftershave balm and pre-shave oil with the same scent. However, if you think the shaving cream is over priced, you will certainly think so with the shave oil and the aftershave balm. In my opinion both those products are only average and I am someone who always uses pre-shave oil and an aftershave balm.So with all the caveats, why do I still think this is a good cream? Well, you will get a good shave with the cream and it will last you a long time, making it worth your money if you follow one rule, always apply it with a badger brush. The cream says that it can be used with or without a brush, but to me there is a marked difference in the quality of the shave if you don't use a badger brush. If you do use one, you will get a nice lather, with a pleasant smell, that will give you a close and comfortable shave and the tub will actually last you a long time, 3 or 4 months with daily shaving. However, you must use with a brush. It takes time to learn how to properly use a brush to create a proper lather for wetshaving but it is something worth learning to get a good shave and on the plus side you will use about a fourth of the amount of product that you would use if you just used your fingers to apply it to your face. Overall, this cream is a big step up from what you will find at your average drugstore.

These sorts of formulas have been around for a long time, seem to have fallen out of favor due to aerosol based shaving cream. However my son sent me a sample of this some time ago and I was astounded at the closer than ever shave and a very (to me) subdued fragrance. Just put an erasure or two size on your palm and rub together and it is easy to apply without a brush. It is a little different after the razor passes over the skin a couple of times; it tends to seem a little dry. Just apply a dab of water on it puts it back in business ready to go for the next razor stroke.

I have extremely sensitive skin. I put this into a tube and use on legs and underarms for me, although I realize it’s usually an item for men. This bergamot scent to me is the best. It works great for me and has for my beautiful spouse, too. That’s how I knew about it. A little amount goes a long way and the quality is top tier.

Loving this. I have a ton of allergies and had chemical allergy testing done. This is the only brand I have found that works for me. If you are looking to get a lovely shave (my legs for me) than you have found it. Also it will decrease your toxic load you are putting in your body.
