Works very well, great value for the money, the plastic material is light weight yet sturdy enough to handle very warm/hot air blowing for 12+ hours straight. This is a fairly quiet unit. Because is has several layers, you're able to dehydrate many fruits/ veggies/ meats at a time. The size is fairly compact because it's stacking.. I use this to make liver dog treats for my dog. Have also tried dehydrating apples, pineapples, beets, etc. Would recommend getting the item(s) you want to dehydrate as dry as possible first. This will cut down your dehydrating time.

I've been using this nonstop since I bought it and love it. Dried fruit, herbs, even dried spruce and cranberries for simmer pots all done perfectly. Dried banana slices are like candy bites! Easy clean up and it dosen't take up a lot of counter space. I purchased two extra trays so I could do more apples at a time. Can't recommend this enough especially if you have a smaller kitchen.

Works very well! super simple, set the temp and time and let it do its thing. Not only that this unit is less than half the cost of most of the other dehydrators that I have found on here. Also, this one is expandable; we added 5 trays, which just makes it taller and still works the same. Top shelf seems to get the same treatment as the bottom shelf. I think we typically have 8 trays/shelves going at the same time. Primarily for me, it's jerky, my wife makes strawberry leather from real strawberries minced with a blender and whatever else, which are very addictive, and we end up eating all of the leather in just 1 day.

Hope it lasts (some reviews said no) bc I like it a lot. 7 trays will do 2 large apples or one pineapple. Super easy to program. Noise just sounds like a fan. Apple chips came out great - for crunch, do thin and 12 hrs

Good spacing between trays. You can put them close together or align small tabs to give each tray an extra half-inch of space between trays. The fan is pretty quiet. It's much quieter then my microwave vent fan. I have only dried fruit but it works great on apples, pineapples (the best!), oranges, and fruit 'leather.' I had to by the fruit leather trays separate but hey were only $10. Bananas didn't turn out too well for me. I tried one batch that was soaked in citric acid and water and a batch that had nothing on it and they both turned out brown and way too hard. I'll keep trying. This is a trial and error sort of thing. I was initially going to buy the $10 cheaper version with no buttons, no auto-shutoff, and no temperature control. It just plugged in and ran until you unplugged it. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $10 and get this one. All those controls are included and I can't imagine trying to dehydrate food without them.

Give yourself a chance!! I try the machine and don't like the results, planing to return and then, give a second chance. WORK PERFECT!! I love it!! My family love the apple chips, and other vegetables and fruits. If you have a tons of fruit give yourself the perfect and healthy snack.

I love this dehydrator. It is very easy to use, and it is easy to store. The recipe book is very helpful. I use it primarily to dehydrate chicken and beef for my dogs. They LOVE it!
