I recently purchased Weber Apple Wood Chunks for smoking meats and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the results. The wood chunks are the perfect size for use in my smoker, and they burn cleanly and evenly, giving my meats a deliciously sweet and fruity flavor. One of the things I appreciate most about these wood chunks is their high-quality. They are made from 100% natural apple wood, without any additives or chemicals. This gives me peace of mind knowing that I am smoking my meats with a safe and healthy product. The flavor that the Weber Apple Wood Chunks add to my meats is truly amazing. I have used about 3/4 of this bag of cherry wood chunks to smoke meats on my Weber kettle, and thus far I am very satisfied with the results and with the cherry wood flavor that these have imparted. I have used these when smoking beef ribs (plate ribs or dino ribs), pork belly, burger patties and sausages, and chicken thighs most recently. The bag includes a mix of smaller chunks and larger chunks, but don't worry, there are plenty of larger chunks. I have noticed no issues with the quality or dryness of the wood. It burns or smokes well. The price was also in the same ballpark as prices at local retailers, and if that continues to remain the case, I will continue to order Weber wood chunks here online to save the time and gas spent on a trip to the store. (Oh, and one of the features to be rated is "Giftable". I gave that 1 star, as I don't think this is a great gift to give, even to someone who smokes meats regularly. Any grilling or smoking fanatics probably have plenty of wood to use when smoking or grilling, so instead I'd suggest gifting them a grilling accessory.)

Hew yeah, it really works. Sure I have had smoked meats before but this is the first time I was the one doing the smoking. So my first cook was a full Turkey which I smoked all day long and used 6 pieces of wood from my bag of Weber Pecan Wood Chunks, for Grilling and Smoking. Turns out that was too many for our liking. 6 pieces really puts a hearty flavor on that is definitely Pecan. So I tried again ........ One brisket, a chuck roast, 3 ribs, and 3 sausage later the results from my second cook were spectacular. I smoked a chuck all day and used 3 pieces from my bag of Weber Pecan Wood Chunks, for Grilling and Smoking which yielded a low and mild Pecan flavor. Next time I do an all day cook I will probably use 4 pieces for a slightly increased amount of Pecan flavor. In both cases I soak the wood chucks in water before using them. I try to keep timing in mind and I add the wood at different intervals throughout the cook, usually from about 1/2 way done to 3/4 - finish. It is okay and recommended to use the wood soaked pecan water in the smokers bath if it is going to be used.

These pecan wood chunks are a solid choice for the price and deliver great results when smoking. They burn evenly, and the flavor is light but rich, clean, and subtly sweet, exactly what you’d expect from good pecan wood, and the smoke output is steady without being overpowering. I was also happy to see that the bag didn’t have much bark, which doesn't entirely bother me, but I try to avoid if possible, so that was a nice bonus. The chunks themselves are a decent size for grabbing a handful and tossing into the smoker as needed, though I did notice they’re smaller than the product images suggest. If you look at the old vs. new product image, the chunks in the newer packaging seem to have thinner and more irregular pieces compared to the older version, so if you prefer larger blocks, that’s worth keeping in mind. That being said though, they still work just fine and burn nice and cleanly, so it's not a big deal. All in all, for the quality and amount you get, this is still a great deal. Will likely pick up more in the future. Would recommend!

Amazing smell and amazing flavor for all meat types, I did 6 hours of wings on our smoker and it was the best flavor I’ve done on a smoker yet.

We used two chunks this past week during our grilling out. The 'chunks' provide a quicker fire start and helps us to get all the charcoal going. Heat retention was brought out quickly and worked well for a long grill-time of three hours+. I recommend these chunks.

Weber cherry wood chunks were exactly as described in product info and performed excellent. Added a beautiful level of smoky flavor to the pork butt I was grilling that day.

Got these for my brother in law who has a huge smoke cooker. I did my research and discovered that the wood chunks are more appealing and useful to your avid experienced cook using a large smoker. I ordered three different flavours. Due to my inexperience I didn’t realize how huge these bags were going to be. He loved them and is super excited to try them out, although hasn’t been able to yet.
