These dishes are considerably thin compared to dishes on the market. Also, the enamel is horrible. If you drag flatware over these dishes (as you would while eating any meal) it will leave scratches on the dish. I will not be keeping these dishes very long.

I just bought a set of these exact dishes from Target for around $50 (April 2013) with free shipping. I am thrilled with them.They are stoneware, stamped made in Indonesia, and are just what I needed to spruce up my kitchen. The bowls don't hold much, so we use them more for sloppy dishes/salad and have separate, black cereal/soup bowls.One big pro about this set is the coffee mugs are the perfect size and shape. I actually use them exclusively, which is rare with most dish sets, or so I've found.

A bold pattern combined with the sharp contrast of black and white make these stand out as high class and high end . LOVE them !!

We bought 2 sets of these dishes about 5 years ago and then bought a third set a year after that. We still have all of the pieces. They've been hand washed and washed in a dishwasher and hold up really well. Recently, we've been piling them in a laundry basket to cart them up and down stairs between the dishwasher (downstairs) and kitchen (upstairs) in our strange little rental house. Even clinking together in a laundry basket hasn't chipped them. These are some elegant-looking but hard-wearing dishes.
