Dog really responds!
My dog has entered the most crucial period for training, she is a year old. She is a large breed dog , and I am a very small woman. I use this for off leash training, here in my own yard, in an area that used to be rural but is rapidly changing. I haven't had to use anything but the beep and vibrate mode, the beep just refocuses her attention to me, while she finds the vibration mode very annoying. Most of my training is done the old fashioned way. Consistency and hands on. The following is an example of when more was needed. My young nephew lives here and bought a small motorcycle, which of course my dog sized puppy loves to chase. We were outside playing fetch ( with the chuck it ball thrower I also highly recommend), when my nephew takes off on his motorcycle much to my surprise. She ran after him, but after 3 short bursts on vibrate, she was immediately back by my side ready to play ball again. Another problem I have had is her excitement when people walk in my house. For which I use the beep to get her attention first, then vibrate if that doesn't do the trick. An e-collar is not a magic pill, it wont do your job for you, but it certainly helps with off leash training, and refocusing my dogs attention back to me, her owner and trainer. The dog I train her to be in the next six months to a year is the dog I will have forever. I believe dogs need to run off some energy every day, especially my dog who is a Goldmaraner, well documented for their need to run everyday. Off leash they also learn to think for themselves , and satisfy their curiosity which makes for a more intelligent dog in the long run, in my opinion, I have had many dogs over the years. The battery life of the collar and the hand held remote has been great so far, still seems to be charged after a whole days use, I put it on the charger anyway, but have had no trouble with that. I also am very happy with the collar this unit comes with, and the device on it, it stays on the collar, no falling off or twisting like my last e collar, which I threw in the trash due to this problem, ( this was with my previous large breed dog) The basic design is quite solid, the collar threads through slots on the back of the device that vibrates, making it impossible to lose. The manufacturer sent me a charging block, when I wrote and told her I didn't have one, and a lanyard that really works great ,so I have my hands free, just for my trouble. I highly suggest you buy a lanyard, I nearly lost the remote before I put the lanyard on it, when it fell out of my pocket. (the way you attach the little loop is through the two holes on the corner of the remote ) Thank you Invirox! Great cost, and a great product! I waited months to review this because I wanted hands on experience first. Now I give it 5 stars!

Great value and high quality
Good quality and reliable. Easy to use and to implement in dog training. I am surprised how long the battery last between charges. Great purchase for next level training.

After two years, I love it so much I'm buying a spare...
Have owned many dogs, this was my first electronic collar. Bought this 2+ years ago and recently decided to get a backup before they are gone. After 2 years this product still works great. The collar has gone swimming in the river, suffered through baths, and been out in the rain. Collar and remote both hold a charge forever--I've only had to charge it a handful of times since purchase. The flashlight is super handy in a pinch. Being a first time e-collar owner, I had a few gripes when I first got this collar, but I've since learned that the design is really ahead of me. The "lock" switch can be pretty stubborn, but then again you don't want it getting flipped accidentally, so that makes great sense. I inadvertently shocked my buddy early on and quickly blamed the size of the "zap" button... and then I had a situation where I had to find that button FAST, and was so thankful that it was oversized so I could identify it by feel alone. The remote and collar are lightweight and the remote is narrow enough to slide perfectly into a slim pocket in the leg of my cargo pants. I can work without it getting in the way or in fear that it gets bumped by accident. The tapered shape of the remote and slick design ensure that it slides right into place (I leave the lanyard hanging out and can snatch it up in a second). My buddy is a 90 lb. Old English Bulldogge whose learning disability, giant size, and aggressive style of play can be alarming to the uninitiated and flat out terrifying to dogophobes. I live in a residential area with lots of elderly street walkers--this guy could break someone's hip just taking a run at them, so I consider this collar a critical component for reducing liability. And boy does it work! Testing it on myself showed me that I never needed to zap him for more than just a second. I followed the manual and we eventually found our own groove with it. He knows the code now--I get his attention with the tone, and he knows I mean business when I vibrate it... because the next step is the zap. A long press on vibrate and he comes running. I bet in two years I haven't zapped him a dozen times. That said, my wife pops him accidentally so often she's not allowed to carry the remote anymore. So I guess the product isn't for everyone. I suppose I should mention I got the collar when he was about six months old, so he kind of grew up with it. Not sure how an older/more seasoned dog would respond to it. I have a few friends with bully rescues that didn't take to kindly to their ecollars (which weren't Invirox btw). As a matter of fact everyone I know who has an ecollar has abandoned it for one reason or another, but none of them had an Invirox! Oh and also they claim an 1,100 yd range, which I don't get. It's not that big a deal though because I can't go 1,100 yards without a tree or hill/valley anyway that would interrupt the signal. I get 150-200 yd range easily, and I almost never let him get that far away from me. I love it so much I'm buying another one when the first one isn't even broken (bonus, it's substantially cheaper this time!). I hope this helps you make your decision! ps - not sure if the product description mentions this, but my first one came with two sets of studs for the collar (a long set and short set), and a set of rubber nubs to go over them. I started with the short studs with the rubber covers and have gone to long studs, no covers. That seems to work best with his flappy neck folds.

Very effective product
This is my second time buying this product. The first one the receiver broke on the collar and could not be fixed instead of just buying the receiver. I ordered the whole box.

Very happy with the product and quality, an overnight change in dog behaviour. Used to define some invisible boundaries, our dogs catch kangaroo and turkey scents in the wind, then take off on an adventure getting lost in the Bush, its been hard to break them out of their natural hunting instincts when walking. As soon as we see the dog body language and they are ready to take off, they get a little correction zapp.

They work great very easy to pair to use.The first time if you have to use the shock function it will work if on your pet properly. Will say if you do use the shock your pet will forever know the cooler is on once you grab the remote.Just always use an alert before and after and they will associate what comes after the tone very fast!

We've had it a couple of months now and it has really helped with the fine tuning of our cocker spaniel. Fine tuning in that moment when she just zeros into the thing she is chasing - be it a rabbit or another dog, and there's nothing you can do about it if she isn't on leash. Also rushing out to meet visitors. We did the initial training as suggested but not sure she fully cottoned on and associated it with "listen" as she is mostly very well behaved anyway. But when we did need to use it (rabbit), it definitely distracted her from her focus and she came back (to lots of praise). We have used it a few times since when she has taken off, but she has improved so much with her listening to us, that we feel more and more confident to let her off leash a bit more. We have had no problems with battery or using it. Everything has worked as it should.

It works as intended, good waterproofing, no problems with battery life, solid construction etc etc. HOWEVER- if you want to use this in the field, the range is well overstated. I purchased this as it said 1000m range, it is lucky to get to 70meters and if there is timeber or anything in the way forget it. So controlling a dog that gets headstrong and charges off is impossible. It would also be good if there was the option of sound and vibration or sound and shock or any of the combinaitons. it makes it hard for the dog to associate the sound with the correciton if they are seperate.
