Department 56 Resin Snow Village Dairy Queen Lit Building

I ordered this piece to add to my Christmas village this year and it's very well made and intricately detailed, even down to the individual bricks on the building and the flavor board by the order windows. Even the back and sides have a lot of details including "posters" and an old fashioned phone. It lights up inside as well. I was disappointed that the string of lights under the awning didn't light up as well; seems like a missed opportunity in manufacturing that those lights don't work.I love the building, but it is overpriced for how small it is. When I opened it, I was surprised that it was only about 5" tall compared to my other Department 56 buildings. Overall, the building is exquisite and the hand painting is perfectly done, so I am happy with it.

I have been putting up a Christmas Village for awhile now so when I saw the Dairy Queen I was so excited to order it. I was very disappointed that it has the little string of lights hanging in the front of the store. I'm disappointed because they should light up, that would have been really beautiful. The Dairy Queen doesn't have enough lights on it. Otherwise it is nice, but I still paid enough for it.

This is such a wonderfully nostalgic building for your Christmas house collection. It reminds me of all my childhood visits to Dairy Queen.
