This is so easy to use and it didn't scare my little Yorkie...in fact he feel asleep while I was using it.

Very awkward to use
I bought this one to replace an old one that I really liked but I’m not a fan of this. It’s very awkward, is too noisy and doesn’t really get the job done. If I could still return it I would.

It's easy to use just follow these simple suggestions!
This is my SECOND Pedipaw in 12 years! They work great. However people make these errors time after time. 1. Do NOT just hold it against the nail, it will catch and stop. This is a SAFETY FEATURE so you don't grind off too much in a few seconds. 2. It requires a "light touch" rocking the unit back and forth in a semi circular motion. Two seconds up, two down and it smooths the mail upper and lower by doing this. 3. Relax. If your dog senses you are nervous, it will be nervous.You do not have to take weeks rubbing it/running it anywhere. I ordered a new one for today, and used it on TWO 5 month old puppies that never saw it before. Use treats to praise and distract. Remember, do NOT just hold it against the nail, rock it back and forth. THAT'S IT.

Cheap made for TV junk
My dog hated it and it didn't do much to her nails. Tried it on one of my nails with the guard removed and it was very uncomfortable due to the cylinder being a bit out of round even with my nail at multiple angles. I know why she didn't like it.A total junk "as seen on TV" product. Save your money and don't buy this.

Good product, it takes c batteries by the way.
The product is what it said to be, it was about mid range for loudness, gets a lot louder when nail touches it. The sound and feel of the product was to much in the end and our pet had a heart attack and passed away. In no way am I blaming it on the product, our pet was just super sensitive and we were unaware that this would have trigger such a tragic result. Thank you anyways
