My daughter's Marin Road bike with triple chainrings had an issue where when shifting from the large chainring to the middle the chain would drop all the way to the inside of the low chainring and jamb. This would end the ride since it required removing the crank arm to un-jamb the chain. It rarely happened but when it did she was in for a long walk or needed picked up. I replaced the chain and shortened it by a link. Adjusted the derailers so they worked perfectly but the problem would occasionally show up. Since I installed this little unit there has been no problems at all. Well made and works perfectly.
