Kreg K5MS-KREG Jig K5 Master System Wood Clamp with Pocket-Hole Screw Kit and Clamp Bundle

This is so COOL!!! I quickly built a rolling workbench that is very sturdy (I will use it to hold an engine block sometimes) and looks very professional. I've seen parts of infomercials about this, and often wondered, but a cabinet maker recommended this to me and it's very simple to use and works great. I have ordered a corner holder, and look forward to some cool projects in the future.Well made; screws are readily available (I found them at a couple of hardware and builders' supply stores in Cody, Wyoming, of all places!) if I run out and need some right away.Very happy with this set!

I'm just starting to create a work area in my garage and needed to start by building a workbench. I'm so glad that this was one of the first purchases for my work area because it has already saved me time and loads of aggravation. The pocket-holes are super quick to create and the guide definitely does keep them consistent. The screws also did seem to pull together the two pieces of wood to make it feel more like it was locked into place.The clamps that come with this set are great. They take a little getting used to, but once you figure them out they really are splendiferous.I can't wait to finish the bench so I can clamp this bad boy to it and really start making some cool stuff.

Came with 3 clamp bundle - nice! Used a couple times, will be making a shoe rack today. Easy to use. Support wings could be stronger plastic but it’s ok. I’d suggest the k5 over the k4 due to the improved material clamping system.

This kit was an amazing deal. I feel having the clamps is a must. I bought the screw kit in addition and can pretty much just G get working on projects.One word of advice is I noticed when using the longer screws that when you start to drive to screw, make sure you have the right angle so the screw comes out centered in the piece of wood. The pocket hole works to do this for the shorter screws but the longer screws I found that you have to kind of pay attention.

Used both the K4 and K5 systems. Much prefer the K5 but find it could be improved a tad. The side boxes to better support longer boards is a great idea but would like them to be a bit stronger.....they are thin plastic and I am not sure they will survive in the long term. Much prefer having the K5 clamp on the front of the tool....much easier to clamp larger boards. The clamp adjustment is a superior improvement vice the K4 where you have to screw the locking nut back and forth. Overall this is a great tool. Just finished making two bedroom side tables for my daughter and it made the job much easier.

Makes along with glue it makes strong simple joints. Straight forward directions. Fallowing am few simple steps Everything is calibrated perfectly. Buy the clamps they make things even easier.

Out of necessity I had to figure out a way to build sturdy closet shelves in a mobil home, no studs. I found this was the perfect answer, I am totally new at woodworking but I feel like I can build anything now. Great easy to use product, and I found that every hardware store has more screws and craig products on hand. Which you will want, so save yourself the trip and get those extra clamps now. Easy to set up and use. Once you get started it's addicting, I am doing cabinets next! Pocket holes make everything so much stronger, I can actually stand on my own furniture.

I already owned the smaller Kreg R3 jig and liked it, so when looking to upgrade I decided that the K5 with the full clamping kit would be a good purchase. I wasn't disappointed, as I've used it quite a bit already and it's much nicer when doing a larger number of pocket holes (as I'm working on a set of laundry room cabinets all joined via pocket holes using the e-booklet that came with this jig). The dust collection works extremely well, the jig is easy to configure once you get the basics, and the built in vise makes it really quick to move your piece and drill the next holes with everything held in place. For those who work with pocket holes, the K5 is a great system and improves time efficiency and accuracy of the work.In regards to the rest of the kit, I've used each of the clamps for different purposes already and they've been a welcome upgrade. The pocket hole clamp is great for setting things up and getting a good 90 degree corner and lets me square things up and clamp them by myself. The longer clamp is very useful getting into places that my other clamps can't reach. These clamps are a great addition to my existing R3, which I still use a fair bit and it's nice having 2 sets of drillbit/stop collars to reduce the need to change depths mid-project too much.The screw kit that comes with it is nice and helps to ensure I always have something on hand of a certain length/thread, although I already have a decent stock of the 500pc Kreg screws in lengths I commonly use, so am finding less need for the hardwood ones at this point.Overall, I could easily get by with the R3 in a pinch (and it still has it's uses), but found this set worth the cost to upgrade and the additional clamps and screws made it a good value. I've already gotten my money's worth after a few projects where each component has come in very handy.
