This waterproof braided leather necklace exceeded my expectations. The leather feels incredibly sturdy and well‑made, with a solid weight that gives it a premium feel without being bulky. What really impressed me is the clasp — it’s secure, smooth to open and close, and feels far more reliable than what you usually get at this price point. Altogether, it’s a great piece that looks good, holds up well, and feels built to last.

I ordered the 2mm, 20” cord. However, when I put it on, it was definitely too long. When I tried to unclasp the cord, it was really hard to do. After finally getting the cord off, I measured it and found it was actually 21”. So, I plan to return this one and order an 18” cord hoping it is actually 19”. The 2mm cord is also very slim so I'll try the 3mm size. Hopefully, the 2nd try will be what I'm looking for. Update: Here is what I sent to the seller: Hello…I ordered the IOYYIO Flexible Waterproof Braided Leather Necklace Cord Chain for Men Women, 2MM/3MM Rope Chain for Pendant 16" 18" 20" 22" 24" 26" 28" 30" 32" (Gift Box.) I ordered the 2MM 20” cord, but it is 21” which is too long. I want to return the one I received and purchase a shorter one. Since the 20” was 21”, would the 18” actually be 19”? I will also probably order the 3mm rather than the 2mm cord. And here is the reply from the seller: Yes, we originally followed the standard size, but I don't know why many buyers feedback that it's too short, so we made the actual size 1 inch bigger. The 3MM is also the same 1 inch bigger, 3MM is suitable for men to carry. Tip: If you want the rope to soften quickly, you can soak it in water for about ten minutes and then take it out. thank you for your purchase. So, I purchased the 3mm 18” option and it is 19” long which works for me. The clasp on this one is also much easier to open, but also stays closed until I choose to open it. I also like that I can wear it all the time including when I'm in the pool or shower. It is very sturdy and comfortable to wear.

i waited a couple months to write this review so I could see how well the necklace cord held up after weeks of constant wear. I bought mine to hold a little pendant someone gifted me; it might be the Buddha on there, but it could just as easily be some guy who delivers mail in Sri Lanka. Either way, it's a cool little pendant and I wanted to put it on something that would hold it securely. This cord works perfectly for that. When it first arrived, it seemed a little stiff and "plastic-y," but even then it *looked* like high quality leather. After a few days it lost most of that stiffness and began feeling more like a genuine leather cord. The only real noticeable difference? This on -- unlike leather -- is waterproof and most everything else-proof as well. After two months, I can't see any signs of wear. And I even sleep/shower/swim with the thing on. I'm guessing that *eventually* it'll wear out and I'll have to replace it. But based on the wear so far, that could be a year or two, or maybe more, away. Finally, the packaging is great and the little starfish mentioned by others is a nice touch. Also, the clasp is pure genius! Very sturdy and secure, but at the same time small and unobtrusive. It really is a nice bit of engineering. Overall, this is a great product for the money.

But it's NOT! It's a fancy name for fake leather, Leather Silk is the term, now is it soft? YES. Is it well made? YES. Do I like it? YES. Ordered the 30" as the 28" is good and I can somewhat easily put it over my 24" head, but ordered the 30" as I expect a bit longer by 2" and hang a bit lower. The clasp is not easy to undo and that's good. I only wished that it was 100% real Leather but it feels good and looks very good not just yet sure how long it will wear? So far I could not find a better Leather like or "Silk Like" necklace here on Amazon.

The necklace feels very sturdy and easy to put on compared to a lobster clasp. I pendant I bought this for I wear all the time, while sleeping, and sometimes in water so I appreciate the quality and comfort of this. I hope it will last a long time. My last necklace lasted about 6 months under constant wear, so I hope I can get more use from this one.

This was a great find. It has a great look and feel. It's a great alternative to a chain, and the clasp is also easy better that what I usually get on chains

Nice product

I recently bought a real nice custom made cross made out of Titanium but I couldn't decide between a silver chain or this one that I had run across. I got to thinking about how much difference in money I could getting this instead of the pricey silver ones and I kinda like the way I though it would look. I got the long 30" because I can't stand a necklace tight around my neck and being a man, working outside and stuff, I was afraid I might break a silver chain and this one looked nice and strong. I was not let down when it arrived. The round clasp design allowed me to thread this necklace right through the hole in my cross so no extra clasps that might break. I have been wearing it daily and most nights even forget to take it off when I go to bed and it looks great with any shirt and has been made of top quality material and made good and strong. I see no reason that this necklace won't last me many years of use.

Great quality necklace cord - have worn it in all conditions, in water, in heat, humidity, everywhere. It's still going strong and in excellent condition after over a year. Can also loop it through any pendant you like and it will look very stylish. Highly recommended
