Nice Replacement Cable Locks
Sea-Doo should have used aluminum cable locks from the factory. The cheap factory locks are prone to break and if they do you're dead in the water and they can then let water in the hull. These are simple, but work well. There are a number of videos available that are worth watching before you install. Also, if you're looking to replace your wear ring, now is the time as you need to remove your jet pump to replace these so it's a good time to do it while everything is apart. These are fairly easy to install, and come with spare split rings and gaskets if yours are damaged. Also, while you're replacing one, you might as well do them both as it's only a couple more minutes of work. A couple things worth noting - the biggest is to start threading these by hand as it's easy to cross-thread them. The second, if you are replacing a broken lock, is to use a longer piece of 1/2" copper pipe as a wrench to remove the broken nub. Use pliers to fold back 4 ears on the pipe, and it will be just the right size to go over the cable and push into the broken nub. It will unthread with minor effort. You'll spend way too much time trying to do it without this hack. The other advice I have is to mark threads where the lock nuts are at on both the steering and reverse cable housings (I used nail polish) before you remove the end pieces, which you have to remove to do the job. When you go to replace everything, thread it on by hand and you'll feel the resistance when the lock nut hits the paint/nail polish. It doesn't have to be perfect, but a full rotation of the lock nut will throw off the adjustment of each of these (this will all be apparent when you tear into it).Whether you buy these or a similar product, whatever you do if you have an issue, or if you have the pump off to do the wear ring, is to use aluminum replacement cable locks even if nothing is broken yet. It's only a matter of time, and you don't want to be in the middle of the lake when one of them breaks and you're stuck not being able to steer or put it in reverse.

Better than OEM
I purchased the OEM plastic pieces and thought they looked too flimsy. You pull hard on reverse lever it could break like original did. The aluminum ones I bought on Amazon fit well and are water tight. Much more rugged than OEM plastic ones. Problem occurs when you purchase the long pipe like socket that says often purchased together because the nut size on the aluminum piece doesn’t fit the long pipe like socket. This tool they sell for it is excellent for use on OEM part but the aluminum part ( although better than OEM ) is a different size nut. So great part, water tight and rugged just don’t expect the wrench they sell to fit anything other than plastic OEM part. Plastic OEM part I wouldn’t even install, too flimsy this aluminum part is great.

Not a good fit for a 2006 SeaDoo GTI SE
I thought this would be a great improvement from the standard plastic style lock nuts but as it turns out they would not fit properly and allow the nuts to screw in fully. I ended up replacing these with the OEM standard lock nuts. Once that was done everything worked properly. In addition, the "tube" wrench that was recommended to make it easier to remove the locknuts does not fit the after-market locknuts, but it does fit the OEM parts. They do not offer a device for the aftermarket.Money & Time wasted attempting to use this product. I do not recommend.

Work great.
The nut size is 1 inch. The original Seadoo nut is a 15/16 so the Seadoo tool will NOT work. I made my own tool by welding a 1 inch socket onto the end of a pipe. You must use a 1/2 drive socket or larger for the cable to fit through it. It also has to be a 6 point socket. The cable retaining clips are the right size for the sift cable, but they are to small for the steering cable. I just reused the old ones.Overall a good product, just has some fitment issue.

Fits well, SPACERS ONLY WORK FOR REVERSE NOT STEERING CABLE
Spacer only fits the reverse cable, the nut is the same on both sides, as is the rubber seal. If your ski's nut already broke chances are your spacer is missing so consider ordering a set if your steering cable side broke. I did just drill out the spacer to make it work. but i dont suggest this.

perfect fit for my GTX
Arrived in less than 48 hours, two for the price of one compared to the local dealership! On a side note I am still waiting for the dealer to get this same part in and have been waiting 26 days. Don't waste your time waiting, just order this part if you need it and get back on the water! It's a tight fit on my PWC and I used a basin wrench, which worked perfect on the install.
