Very high quality scalpel. I didn't realize that I ordered the 7L which is about 2.5 inches longer than my other 7. I was bummed at first because i thought it would be to long and awkward. To my surprise it works beautifully and keeps my hand further away from my culture. It is my go to now for doing transfers. Blades audibly click into place unlike my cheaper one

Durable handle. Not cheap feeling.

My favorite handle for delicate cutting

This handle doesn't measure up to the genuine Swann-Morton #5 handle, but at about 20% the price of the S-M, I think it's a good alternative for my use (model making). This handle is about 3/8" shorter than the Swann-Morton and the body, at its thickest, is about 2/3 that of the S-M. But, the price is great and the real S-M is very difficult to obtain in the US. My handle's finish is not very refined, but it's okay and a number 10 blade fits well. This plastic handle feels much nicer in my hand than the standard metal handle. I wish it came in more colors.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AN MONEY. Ordered 3 - quality blades won't even fit- the grooves on the blade lock aren't aligned. All three handles were all different sizes, plastic was melted around metal blade lock, super rough to the touch. Complete garbage. Would give 0 stars if I could.

at first I didn't know how to place the blade all the way on but personally this is new to me. I had put part of the blade on and the pressed down on something and the blade went on all the way and stayed tight. It's very sturdy and took care to put and take the blade off. Taking the blade off I had pulled it to the side some enough to then take that price and put it under something to catch it and then pulled cause I didn't want to cut myself. I had good performance when handling it with the blade intact.
