Great for Cardiac RN's who want to expand their knowledge - Easy to follow along
I bought this book as a pediatric cardiothoracic circulator. I know it says it is for providers, but if you're working in the ICU or OR as an RN, I think this is a great book for you to have and to review operations your kiddo is coming out of so you can understand just how extensive and complex their surgeries were, making you that better off knowing what sort of nursing complications you should be on the lookout for. The pictures are great, and the glossary/index in the beginning is wonderful too if you're not sure with the acronyms being thrown around. I also suggest open pediatrics (the website) which is beneficial at reviewing all the congenital heart diseases. I would say these are both critical in expanding your knowledge as a cardiac RN.

Fantastic!
High-yield content, beautiful and helpful illustrations, excellent formatting (e.g. not much wasted space, each lesion/concept is on adjacent pages, topic header on the side margin so you can quickly flip to find the relevant page even without going to the table of contents, page thickness doesn't make the book too heavy...)
