Great for a small office and small person : ) Sturdy and professional-looking!
I needed a compact, but full-feature office chair to fit under a small desk, in a small office. Many chairs I tried were too high for me to reach the ground well, or had arms that weren't adjustable, so they wouldn't fit under the desk well. Some chairs that had adjustable arms 'rattled' and were not sturdy. Other chairs that were fake leather were leaving bits of the material on the carpet - yuck. So, I was sought one that would be fabric. Also, I was sitting in only 1/2 (the front part) of my former office chair, so that chair was taking up room unnecessarily, and was hard to 'get around' the 'deeper' seated chair to the other part of my office. So, I was looking for one that would fit me better. I also have a desire for my feet to rest comfortably on the floor, and this one goes close enough to the ground. Many chairs had the 'lowest seal height' too high for me. When I rcvd this chair, I thought there were no instructions included, but I found them in the box, I don't know how I missed seeing them, lol. In case yours are missing, I'll post them here, and you can also find them on the Boss website, where this chair is shown. It took only a few minutes to assemble. (Quick hint on assembly of the arms -- according the 'Boss' side photos, the 'longer arm portion' goes towards the back of the chair.) This chair is very sturdy!! Just what I wanted.

SURPRISE VALUE
Box of parts turns into a comfortable chair. One problem occurred--there are three plastic tubes meant to cover the shaft between the wheeled base and the chair bottom--easy to see what was supposed to happen, but when I set the chair on the shaft with the covers in place, the chair would not sit. It wobbled and would not connect with the shaft. Without the three plastic covers, the chair seat clicked on tight. Why? Who knows. Cosmetic so no matter. The chair was easy to assemble--only four screws attach the metal plate which joins the seat section to the base. Three screws attach each arm to the underside of the seat. Need a Phillips-head screw driver to do this work. (The screws were in a package stapled to the underside of the seat--so look before you assume they were left out of the shipment.) Also, the arms have a faux adjustable slide (why?). The arm height does not adjust. The chair is also a good weight, it does not go traveling alone on my tile floor. Upholstery is cloth not that mesh fabric stuff and the back has a welted detail. There is an orange warning tag on the back--ixnay on leaning backward in this chair. If you like to push back and sprawl--don't per the manufacturer. I find the posture support at the lower back excellent for me. I've sat comfortably (no squirming around) for two hours. Very happy with this chair given my budget. Thank you Boss Mfg.!

Great chair. Not too big and clunky.
This chair fit my needs perfectly. I didn't want a large one because of the limited space I had for. I bought if because it was smaller and had adjustable arms. No problem assembling, appears well made and is comfortable.

Great Chair
Great chair for the money, looks nice, very easy to assembly, took me less than 10mins, love the fact that you can adjust the arms, it is pretty comfortable to sit on, the padding is good. If your going to be sitting for really long periods of time, I would probably go with something with a little more padding, but this chair meant my needs perfectly. I actually order other one in the blue without the arms for my daughter's room, for when she is working at her desk, really loves it.

If I have to break out my tools to "fix" the chair during assembly. . .
Actual quality of the chair itself is great, very comfortable, very ergonomic. The half sheet of assembly instructions isn't the best, but if you've assembled this kind of stuff before it shouldn't be a problem. The BAD THING is that two of the three pre-drilled holes to attach an armrest were not accurately done. 1 hole was fine, but I had to break out the power drill with the screwdriver attachment to get the second bolt to go in all the way (even though the hole was a bit sideways), and the third hole wasn't drilled properly at all and the bolt would not go in, even with the power drill. Fortunately the 2 bolts hold it in place okay. And the bolts are soft metal, so there's a good chance you strip the heads of the bolt when assembling. For this price the hardware should be much better.

loving this chair!
I love this chair. My husband has two broken verterbrae in his lumbar region so it's very important for him to have proper support. With our old chair, I was having him use a separate lumbar cushion, but it constantly moved out of position. This chair promotes, you could even say enforces, proper posture. If you get the model with arms, they are adjustable both horizontally and vertically, so you can adjust for your hip size and arm length (I have problems with both of my shoulders from long-time occupational stresses, and I have to keep my upper arms tucked in close to my body. Adjustability is good!). This chair DOES NOT lean back, so the chair will tip if you try to make it lean. It's also only approved for weight up to 250lbs, which I didn't know until I received it. My husband and I would each have to gain 20 to 40% of our current body weight for that to be a problem for us, but others might find that as unclear in the product description as I did (possibly I read through the specs too quickly, so it could very well be my own fault). Now, in terms of putting it together, it could not have been simpler. The last time I tried putting together a piece of furniture on my own, it was a little bedside table with a drawer, IKEA style. I somehow managed to put the sides on backwards so the the drawer couldn't go in, and of course it wouldn't come back apart again! So I was a little daunted by the "assembly required", and some of the one star reviews had mentioned a problem with the hardware. I will say that at first I thought I had a problem with the hardware as well, because all the parts were there, but I couldn't find the screws! It was very frustrating, but as I was typing the customer service number for the chair manufacturer into my phone (this number is thoughtfully provided in the box with the chair parts), I finally espied them... screwed into the bottom of the chair so you could tell where each one was to go. Other than those ten, pre-sunk screws, everything was snap, snap, snap into place! I accomplished the task of assembly in under twenty minutes, even with the "help" of my five year old! The chair was a little larger than I was expecting it to be, but the measurements seem accurate as given, so it was my expectations that were askew. It fit neatly into the space I had available. It is slightly wider at the base than a normal kitchen chair, and the arms, adjusted halfway out, are precisely that wide. All in all, I would say that this chair is a fantastic deal for my money, and if I'm ever in the position of needing another office chair, I will certainly buy another of these!

Arrived Broken
Purchased 2 of these chairs from Amazon, 1 arrived fine and assembled with no issues. Unpacked contents of the 2nd box and started putting chair together. Got to the point of installing the right arm and found the arm height adjuster was broken in it's package. It was shipped this way. Way to go QC department. Decided since this was the last part to install I'd go ahead and finish it and contact Boss Office Products for a replacement. Called them about the matter and was rudely told I would have to fill out the form in the box and email it in. This didn't set to well. I wanted to speak to a warranty department person but they would not transfer me so I could do this over the phone. If you can't handle your problems by phone I want nothing to do with your company. Sounds like I'm in for crappy customer service getting a new arm replacement. I have done as they rudely instructed and we shall see what happens but this is the last product I'll buy that has the name Boss Office products on it. If I hadn't messed up the boxes both of these chairs would be on the way back to Amazon today.

Good basic desk chair
Easy to assemble with only a few screws. The chair is solid with no obvious weak spots. When first using the chair, I found the foam seat and back support to be very hard -- no cushioning. After using it for several weeks, the foam has softened and is now more comfortable. I did not expect anything beyond a basic chair, but I do miss having an adjustable back rest. I have some back issues and the back rest is set too high for real comfort.
