Lunati 10120703 Voodoo 227/233 Hydraulic Flat Cam for Chevrolet Small Block

Currently rebuilding a SBC and had every bore checked for alignment and size. After installing the bearings and having them checked for alignment too, I tried to pre-fit this camshaft. Unfortunately, once it sits on every bearing, it binds at always the same spot. I checked with the original camshaft of the block as well as another OEM camshaft I had in stock, and they turn freely without any effort in the fingers. Re-checked everything, installed this Lunati-Cam once more, and the problem is there: you can turn it easily to a certain point and then it takes a twist of the wrist to overcome this point. It would be dangerous to the engine to try to start it with this cam installed. I should have listened to my machinist and bought another cam-brand instead of Lunati. Money wasted...
