Update: 5 and 1/2 years later, five kids later, the net is still in great shape. Pic is from today. There has been an occasional zip tie that has popped (usually due to kid interaction). I have just attached another one from the original package. This remains a great investment! When we bought our new house with a second story, we knew we had to make sure the kids were safe. We installed these nets upstairs upstairs. They have stood the test of time and have now lasted through our two older kids and are still working with our 15 month old. Easy to install, but takes some time. Well worth the investment.

It's been over a year with a crazy 4-5 year old and two dogs. It's held up wonderfully and has prevented many heads or toys going through the outdated 5.5 inch spindles. Nothing had ripped, torn, or broken. Great product, easy to install. I just used the included zip ties as I don't want to damage the wall or floors with the included sticky mounts. There are a lot of zip ties included and they are adjustable as stated. I've added some length of netting and hooked the 2 pieces together to fill gaps. Sturdy product, if you zip tie it per their pre stamped holes there is no way this thing is moving! Though I ordered the Almond color it came in the pearl. The packaging clearly states Almond but they placed the Pearl tag over that. The color wasn't a deal breaker to me so I didn't bother returning. I just ordered more to finish off the length of railing I needed.

Ordered two to accommodate our banister upstairs, it runs the length of the hallway overlooking the family room/great room. Very sturdy material with pre-punched holes along the stitched border. You get two different lengthed zip ties I assume for different sized banisters which makes sense but I did not really pay attention to them and used both. One thing is they are a little fragile and not as thick/strong as a standard zip tie you'd find at a box store. That being said it holds the screen tight and works well, be sure you have a flathead screwdrive handy as you will adjust the ties as you set this up initially and trying to re-open the ties caused a few small cuts under my fingernail "ouch". I did not use all the openings along the bottom as they did not lineup perfectly with my poles but that is to be expected, and where the second net started I did a pretty good overlap of about 6-8". All in all the tan blends in really well with the banister and it is hardly noticeable from downstairs looking up. upstairs it definitely will protect our kids from sticking their hands/feet/toys through the openings and prevent climbing. Satisfied and looking forward to this being part of the home for a few years as the kids grow up.

We were looking for a product to stop our 1 year old grandson from putting his head, leg , and body through the slats at the top of our stairs. He was already trying to do that. I had visions of him falling through and landing on our wooden steps 3 feet below. I also did not want him throwing toys from there because it would chip the wood on the stairway. My husband and daughter used the banister guard and carried it halfway down the stairway, on our upstairs flight. When our grandson came the next day, he noticed the netting, but respected that he could no long stick his leg or head through the slats. I think it is a marvelous invention! I have so many friends that have come over that want to use the same product. Also, all the other things this company has to offer is fabulous. They carry the magnetic stoppers to stop toddlers from opening up the cabinets. They are truly fantastic! Their video helped with installation!!! I highly recommend them and the products they carry! They are a small family business and it was a pleasure to not get something from China!

This netting is a bit pricier than others but well worth it. Well made, good coloring. The re-useable zip ties are a huge plus. It is great for a space that is one consistent height but don't try to use it along a staircase. Along the diagonal of a staircase, it folds, bunches and hangs poorly. Very unhappy that the Amazon page doesn't mention this limitation. I spent over 10 hours trying to make it work but the tension top-bottom and angles just won't work on the up-down along the stairs.
