Q: What is the curved bottom part made of? Does it mar or grip the table?

The bottom is made of the same metal exterior as the rest of the travel tumbler. My tumbler has not marred or gripped the table.

Q: Anyone have trouble unscrewing the lid once it's been on? Got this for Christmas. Great mug otherwise, but it's extremely hard to unscrew the top.

I believe that a hot beverage will create a vacuum and make the lid nearly impossible to open. However, it does screw on tightly, but I don't have too much trouble getting it off.

Q: Are replacement lids available? I now have three of them with problems. They are recent purchases and fail on the slider. Almost no liquid comes out

I've had two which are used every week day for a couple of years and never had this problem. I hope you get some useful feedback.
