Contour Memory Foam Pillow Asika with Cooling Gel Washable Cover Queen Size Best Pillows for Neck Pain and Headaches

I had whiplash about 5 years ago and ever since I sleep with a contour pillow. I always use one standard pillow under the contour pillow. It's just more comfortable to me. This queen size pillow is the same size as a standard pillow. I start out sleeping on my back but often wake up on my side. I want to love this pillow but it's not contoured enough. Most contour pillows have the two bumps (I don't know the proper name), one bump that is higher than the other, but on this pillow the two bumps are almost even and not very high. I think a higher bump would fit the curve of my neck better. I have experienced some minor neck pain a few times when I slept on my side. This is probably because this pillow does not keep your head in proper alignment. Concerning the cooling, I can feel that the pillow is cool when I first put my head on the pillow but after that its gone. I am going to purchase another pillow that is made for back and side sleepers that keeps the neck in proper alignment and I will write a view for it.

Bought this to replace a memory foam pillow of the same shape. This pillow tends to be a little hard compared to my former. Too bad that my former pillow is no longer made. There are some really nice things about this pillow though: they give you two special pillow cases that fit nicely and the pillow does stay nice and cool.

The "cooling factor" isn't really apparent after a few minutes, though I will say I have NOT awakened with a headache in the month I've used the pillow. For that alone, I'm grateful.

Pillows are obviously highly individual products. A pillow I like might not be one you like. I happen to like fluffy down pillows that allow my head to sink down very close to the mattress when I'm lying on my back. On the other hand, I've been a big fan of tempur-pedic mattresses so figured I'd try out this memory foam pillow. First off, this is a pretty heavy pillow, compared to the weight of a normal pillow, so if you move around a lot and like to bring the pillow with you, you'll need to wake up just a bit to move this pillow. If you lie down and stay in one position most of the night, this is going to work out nicely for you. For me, this pillow ends up leaving my head just a little too high, but at the same time it provides excellent neck support. This would definitely be my go-to pillow if I had a cold and needed my head raised more than what my typical pillows offer. I also roll around a bit - sometimes on my side, sometimes on my stomach, and the memory foam isn't particularly cooperative with that kind of sleep mentality.The pillow itself is well made, comes with a washable cover, and has no associated odor. I found over several nights with it that I got used to it - just as I needed to do when I switched to a memory foam mattress. I would think this would be great for the back sleeper who has cervical pain or who just wants a bit more stability at night.

The aproximate measuraments are 23" long, 13" wide and one side is about 5" high and the other side is about 4" high. It has an ergonomic design which aligns perfectly with your body and neck. And it comes with a very luxurious removable washable cover. And it even comes with a spare cover in case you need to replace the cover or wash it!! Everyone in the house is fighting over this pillow, its so confortable and soft it will not dissapoint. I highly recommend!!
