This product is so smart and has been very helpful. I have been able to wash my favorite baseball cap without having to worry about it getting all wonky! I also allows me to wash my husbands work hats without them also getting wonky! Super easy to use, doesn't break in the washer, you can hang it up easily on a hook in the laundry room and it looks like it belongs there, super lightweight, and yet doesn't break!

The ball cap washer works great! A white cap came out very well. However, the instruction say "do not use lemon scented soap, either dishwasher or clothes washer." No reason why. I called the manufacturer, and sent email, over a week later there is no response. So I bought special soap.

It got my husband’s favorite cap clean in the top of the dishwasher.Be aware you can’t put it in most clothes washers.

I know some people complain about this thing breaking up in the wash machine so I was a little nervous about trying it in the machine. I had one a few years ago that felt a little stronger than this and I used it in the machine many times and never had a problem so I figured I'd give it a go and if it broke just call Amazon.I used it on gentle setting with no spin cycle and no other items in the washer. I used regular laundry detergent and liquid softener. I hung dried each hat by putting a hanger through the hat adjustment strap area, while leaving the hats in the ballcap buddy. They all turned out looking like new and they all started with some pretty bad sweat stains and dirt smudges.If you are going to use this in your washing machine just have some common sense. You probably don't have to go the the extreme that I did but I always will. DON'T throw this in with a load of towels or other heavy clothes (the directions tell you that). DON'T leave a high spin cycle on (common sense).I didn't try the dishwasher since the washing machine worked so well. My dishwasher is a much older apartment furnished machine anyway so I wouldn't expect that particular machine to do well.Good luck to everyone that tries this and I hope all of your caps come out looking new.

I thought by buying the original “as seen on tv” brand, I wouldn’t have to worry about quality. I was wrong.First of all, it’s gigantic! None of my husband’s hats can stretch all the way over the form of this thing, so they shift around in it in the wash.2nd, it is very difficult to open and close. It actually takes several tries, and hurts my fingers!3rd, it broke in the washer (a front-loader, not an agitator), and the hat fell out and tumbled around in the washer without the cage. The hat was fine, which made me realize that the only real reason to use one of these BallcapBuddy things is to keep the hat shaped while air-drying.My mom has the cheap imitation, and hers is more like the size of a real baseball cap, and has not broken. You don’t always get what you pay for.

Works great hats come out amazing clean

It worked well as described. I used it in the dishwasher with two caps which had different brims and heights and worked for both well.

Lo que sigue mis amigos a todos nos ha pasado, empezamos a arruinar nuestras gorras, las echas a la lavadora y quedan como chicharrones recién sacados del caso, después aceptas que has cometido un grave, grave error y vas a New Era a comprarles sus productos de limpieza que la neta sirven de poco y nada. Es ahí donde esta genialidad cobra mucho valor, porque funciona perfectirilillo para las New Era Beisbol Caps y si funciona para esas gorras que son igual de especiales que tu tía que nunca quiere ir a la cena de navidad, funciona para cualquier gorra. Así que si tus gorras ya huelen a 5 B, no lo dudes y cómprate esta cap washer, sólo sigue las instruccciones we, no te pongas proactivo y es importante dejarla secar así como la sacas.
