Even has an expiration date, bark was vet old. No fermentation. Do not buy.

Get the bark alone
Contents were so stale that there was no scent to the star anise and cinnamon nor the bark. Getting the bark separately then getting fresh cinnamon sticks and star anise from your local grocer will give you better results whether your having it fresh or fermented.
