Works nice & smooth
Electric fireplace works beautifully and quietly again. However it spins backwards every other flick of the switch, which is fine.

This can spin either direction.
If you don't like it spinning one direction, try stopping it and starting it again. A better mechanism for my use case might have an ability to control that, or a locking transmission that would rectify an input torque in either direction for an output in only the correct direction, unfortunately, I'm merely repairing a really cheap fixture with nothing like that built in.
