Nice item
Good bang for buck thanks.

too many stems
used for soup and a couple other dishes when stems are stiff and not appealing when in a mouthful of food. Not chewable. Just the leaves would have been good.

perfect to have on hand, better than fresh
I end up throwing most of the fresh kale I by away. This product is perfect to keep on hand

Not a great product.
Not at all happy with this product. Stems are mixed in with the leaves. They are hard and unpleasant in your mouth. I added the kale flakes to soup and ended up picking the hard stems out of my mouth as I ate it. I don’t recommend this product and definitely will not buy it again.

What's in this?
This is my second review on this product. I was going to add these comments to my original review but thanks to Amazon, all my reviews are missing so I'll start again. The first container of the kale flakes I bought were perfect. Lots of flavor and they cooked to the perfect consistency. However, my review on the second container of the kale flakes is far from positive. My household is currently having a debate about what exactly is in the container besides kale. I say they are stalks. My other half thinks they might be wood shavings. And he might be right, they look and taste like they might be. Whatever they are, they were not in the first container I purchased. I say stalks, but these not so small pieces are very hard, flat and no matter how long you soak them in hot or boiling water, they do not soften. I had prepared ramen noodles and dropped a considerable amount of the kale in the soup. We spent most of our dinner picking the hard stuff out of our bowls and mouths. We finally just threw it all away when my niece cut her gum on one of the hard pieces. I'd estimate about 70% the kale container was the hard inedible stuff. I'd like my money back, thank you.
