Disney Princess Shimmering Lights Ariel Doll

This was my granddaughter's favorite doll and then we left it in a hotel in Reno. So, I searched until I found another one and bought it. Eventually, she also lost that one. This doll has beautiful hair, the bottom half of the doll does shimmer and it is extremely well made. My granddaughter was so fascinated by the hair, she occasionally trimmed it up a bit. Now considering purchasing another one but the price has quadrupled since we purchased the first one. I don't believe it is worth $80.00 at this time. And, yet, I have nothing but good memories of my granddaughter playing with this special doll.

I bought this doll for my three year old niece because she loves Ariel. I thought it would be nice for her to have at night because of the lights in the mermaid tale. At the time, I didn't realize the mermaid talks, too. I never thought she could go in water, but we read the directions and put the doll in the tub. Just like the directions said, the mermaid's voice was a little garbled when she came out, if she spoke at all. However, all we had to do was blow into the mermaid's chest and clear the water. She spoke as well as before. Over the weekend, Ariel went to the pool and the tub, in and out many times, and she worked well every time. This is now my niece's favorite mermaid toy!I'm not sure how educational the toy is; therefore, I only gave this two stars. However, I bought the toy for fun, not education. I'm very satisfied!

I purchased this doll for my daughter when she was 4 it was awesome it went int he bath,pool or on dry land. She loved the way the tail changed color and she sang. I couldn't find a doll that would do all that it was one of a kind.The thing I would say is on the package it doesn't say it can go in water it does if you keep it in water too long the voice gets very low and may even stop working it is not broken once the doll dries out you will hear the song again. It lasted 3 years I tried to find another one last year for a friend and the stores did not carry them and amazon did. My daughters friend loved it for her 5th bday.

It's a lovely looking doll (except for her dark lipliner) but only has three phrases and is NOT water proof. Anything with holes in it, is not going to be waterproof. The marketing for this doll was very misleading - however for the price, it's better than having a Barbie that doen't say anything or light up. Little Mermaid fans are going to love it regardless.

My kid has this doll. The doll is beautiful with long red hair. The doll has about 4 phrases that she says one of which is a little bit of a song. The doll lights up and has glitter water inside the mermaid tail. My daughter really likes the doll. We have not tried it in the bathtub and probably won't. I thought it was a good value for the price.

The commericial for this doll shows her swimming in water. Now I wasn't crazy enough to believe that it could actually swim, but I did think the doll could be placed in water. NOT!!111 My daughter was very disappointed that she couldn't play with it in the bath tub. Also the dolls singing is annoying, you can't understand what she's saying.

It is really wonderful for any girl to have Princess Ariel, from the Little Mermaid, to play with. But, it is really AMAZING to listen to Ariel's sweet voice and to see the changing lights that come from her tail! This doll is really perfect! Your child will immediately fall in love with it!

My three year old grand daughter loves this and she is a Big Arieal fan. It gives hers hours of entertainment and loves to take a bath with her new"best friend"
