This temp sensor cable is only suitable for EPEVER/EPsolar brand controller and inverter , not for Renory .

This USB-RS485 cable is only fit for EPEVER/EPsolar brand controller , it's not only cable ,but also have communication chip .

Go to the Epever website and there is probably a software update.

Q: Can i extend the length of the remote temperature sensor wire? if so, how?

Yes , you could extend the length of temp sentor cable by connecting copper wire , but longer the line, lower the sensitivity .
