Doesn't leak!!!
I like to pack my own water filters and monitor the pressure drop so I purchased three of these to put in series. This was a replacement for a Max Water system that I have had for over a year and could NEVER get to stop leaking. I put these three together, mounted them, and turned on the water--no LEAKS! Turns out the fittings are properly machined so everything goes together smoothly but snugly and even when my water pressure is up to 60 psi there are no leaks. Also, the pressure monitors are accurate! I bought refillable 20 x 4.5 casings and packed my own filters and these BB housings hold the casings properly and direct the water through the filter material (as evidenced by the pressure drop and the quality of the water coming out). When there is no flow through the system, they all read the same pressure (as they should). I'm so happy with this system I know I've reached peak middle age.

Clear Water and Peace of Mind!
This whole house water filter cartridge does an excellent job of trapping sand, rust, and sediment, ensuring clear water throughout my home. It's made of durable polypropylene and lasts a long time (4-6 months), meaning fewer replacements and easy maintenance. It's a reliable, heavy-duty solution for well water filtration!

Had to use pipe tape to prevent leakage from threads (and Crimp connectors if using PEX)
The input/output connections leaked until I added pipe tape to the threads. If you wish to use PEX, pipe clamps will not work and you will need the special PEX crimp clamp. With pipe tape and crimp clamp it does not leak. I have used it for about 2 months without issue. I have not replaced the filter yet, but have not seen any residue downstream of the filter since installing. (In the past, I would get small particulate matter from my water well clog the input filter on my clothes washer, but this issue no longer exists.)

Good product, but plastic threads
Works great, but the only flaw is the inlet and outlet are plastic, which gave me a little hard time to stop small leakage, had to remove the adapter and double up on teflon tape

Proper assembly for a leak prof installation.
This product came with a bracket and screws for mounting. I personally installed the filter in and all copper domestic water supply system. Here is a tip for those of you having leaks and the threads on the inlet and or outlet at the top. Purchase at your local home supply center some double density Teflon tape. Oatey sells this product and it is grey in color. Wrap the male threads several times in a clockwise direction. Next, apply a sealant such as Megaloc or T plus 2 and apply that onto the ale treads on top of the previously wrapped tape. Always apply sealants to the male threads and let it squish out upon assembly. Never apply to the inside fittings, the female threads as this will almost certainly introduce the sealant into the water supply. Now these threads are NPT which means the threads are tapered and the fittings get tighter as the assembly is tightened. Use a pipe wrench when assembling this type of joint and be sure to solidly support the cap with the threads that you ar tightening into. Plier, an adjustable or properly sized wrench will slip off the fitting you are tightening because a lot of torque/force is required to make this a leak tight joint. It takes some feel/experience to know how much force to apply given the size of the pipe wrench used. With NPT threads such as the ones in the cap of this product, it is possible to tighten too much and fracture the threaded boss area. If this happens, the assembler went far beyond the tightness required to make a leak prof joint. This is due to the taper as previously mentioned in this type of assembly.

Cheap plastic threading, connection leak
Installed under home, began leaking immediately from the in port. Removed fitting and found plastic had shaved while installing the fitting. It was not cross threaded or backwards, and I used plumbers tape. Just cheap plastic. I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of this. It is now unusable, even after installing an O-ring. I have installed other brands several times before without issue. This brand is just poor quality.
