I was so ready to start putting deck screws in my wall to put up my hangboard, I was salivating. I had put in my test nails to find the struts, I was sure it was completely fine, I had researched door structure in flats to see what kind of build plans they typically use, the stars alligned, I had it ALL figured out.I bought this to reaffirm what I oh so confidently already knew. I was about 70% correct on my strut placement! The stud finder also showed me that there was a lovely little pipe running up one side of my door frame. One week of waiting for this package probably saved me a whole lot of misery in bursting a pipe that maybe shouldn't be in a position that it ought not to be in

Purchased this after some research. Found mid priced standard stud finders gave false readings on our 1930s lath and lime plaster walls. This was spot on, if instructions are followed carefully. With careful use each nail through the lath into the studs were found and was able to securely fasten radiator brackets onto the walls correctly to the studs.

Seems to detect metal well. My gripe is that the battery compartment lid is EXTREMELY difficult to remove, so much so I wonder how long before it breaks. Spoils the product.

Had to return first, badly made. Second arrived and worked as it should.Definitely recommend if you need to find old nails in reclaimed timber.
