Is this bag too big for my 4 almost 5 year old to carry?

No, it's small and slim enough and should work, because my 5 year old carries it. It's a single child bag, for only one person helmet and glove. and with two boys it's held up, still going strong.

Will this fit a softball helmet with a face guard?
