Salomon Speedcross 5 Gore-Tex Herren Trail Running Wasserdichte Schuhe, Wetterschutz, Aggressiver Grip, Präzise Passform

Bought these as an upgrade from the Salomon Speedcross Vario 2, which I've stuck with for the last 3 to 4 years as there were always available cheap and did the job. Why the change, the outer mesh of the Vario 2 would always tear just back from the big toe on both shoes before they'd been fully used. Speedcross 5 has an improved outer mesh, which on close inspection appears to be tighter with less area to snag or tear. I have slim feet and these fit like the proverbial glove with no wayward movement no matter how demanding the terrain.To be honest I was dubious of the quick-fit lacing system as I have always used the extra heel-lock holes when lacing the Vario 2, however these have been through plenty of suction inducing mud to prove they hold the foot well. Thus far these have dealt with mud, flint, chalk, leaf-mould, wet grass, shingle and tarmac with aplomb, providing excellent grip when required and good return from the energy cell.In all money well spent for the joy of trail-running away from the madding crowd.

Bought Salomon shoes on many occasions and can be difficult to source due to popularity re sizing.....The only issue is the sizing would appear to have changed so definitely go up one size from your normal UK size and not quite sure why this has happened. On the plus side these shoes are easy on the eye ( lots of comments from people) hard wearing and multi-purpose shoes. Have worn almost every day for 14 months and only slightly down .

So I wanted to see what all the fuss was about......and I wasn't disappointed! These are absolutely perfect and worth every penny!

I’ve used the trail running shoe on three occasions since I purchased them just over a week ago. The footpaths that I have run are fairly level (in terms of ascent and descent) but are normally wet, slippery and rutted at this time of year. First impressions are that these trail shoes provide a sturdy and surefooted feel. The trainer soles dig into the surface and provide a strong degree of certainty. Having used road shoes in the past, it takes a couple of miles to appreciate the confidence they provide.The shoes are lightweight, comfortable and easy to put on / take off.I normally take an 11 in shoe. I ordered an 11.5 in the trail shoe which is just about right.

Best ever shoes go 1/2 size above for perfect fit warm dry and fantastic grip
