Love this brush! All the animals love this brush. They haven't liked the ones without the bristle caps on them, but maybe I just don't know how to brush with the other type of slicker brush.I was able to easily comb through the fur on a kinky haired bernedoodle (2 passes, one to go over the top and one to go through the rest of the way), a medium hair siamese (double coat), a British short hair/Scottish fold mix (double coat), a manx (rarely sheds), a long hair flame point siamese (long hair, double coat), and a wavy haired bernedoodle (one pass all the way through).Why 4 stars if this works so well and everyone loves it? As with a lot of inexpensive slicker brushes, the bristles have started to bend, but this is also what helps reduce painful pulling on mats. The limber bristles bend to keep from getting stuck, but it also reduces the life of the brush.Cleaning the brush is fairly easy, but once the bristles bend enough, it will likely become more bothersome.Would/will absolutely buy it again.

IT WORKS GREAT, WELL WORTH THE MONEY

I purchased this produce for my cat who has a LOT of hair. I’ve tried other brushes that worked so-so. I wanted to try this particular brush because it looked like it would be very useful.First, my cat loves this brush. The bristles are not hard and it’s easy to use. The only downfall is that when you push the button to release the hair, the entire assembly comes up. I have to constantly push it back into place before using again.Don’t get me wrong, it works. But it’s just a pain when you have to push it back into place.I will continue to use this brush because, as I’ve said before, my cat absolutely loves it.Oh, and don’t expect the hair to immediately pop off the brush when you push the release button. You still have to kind of scrape it off. That is, if the mechanism pops up properly.

Great brush for a great price. Cat likes it, and it's so easy to de-fuzz. She's kind of sensitive to brushes but she tolerates this one just fine.

Easy to use and clean!

I initially purchased this brush for my cats. But when dog saw how much the cats were enjoying being brushed, he insisted he be brushed as well. The size and design is perfect for my hand. The bristles do not scratch them and will not scratch your skin either. It is so easy to remove the hair from the brush. I used to struggle sometimes pulling the hair out of those tiny bristles from other brushes. All you have to do is press the button, it brings it to the surface of the bristles, and you pull it off with two fingers! It's so easy. I would recommend this brush for dogs and cats.
