Trading for Good: How Global Trade Can be Made to Serve People Not Money

Over the past four years I have read 300 books on economics, as part of my research for a future book on The Economics of Kindness. When it comes to trade, Christian Felber has totally nailed it. He goes beyond critique to design a new system based on UN Ethical Trade Zones, in which nations would engage in plenty of trade, but use tariffs to discriminate against trading partners which had NOT signed onto international climate agreements, human rights agreements, and environmental protection agreements. Instead of a race to the bottom, we'd have a race to the top. EVERYONE who is thinking about or working on trade should read his book.
