Does it come with ink?

Just bought this printer at local Walmart for $40. It came with both black and color ink cartridges and power cord and USB cord. Don't understand why this same printer is shown here at over $100 and Walmart sells it for only $40.00

Does it print in only black if the color cartridges run out?

Get the XL black ink cartridge and keep your color ink even when it runs out, just leave it placed and the printer will work perfectly fine just using the black ink (make sure you do place setting for black and white print)

Does this one come with the software?

I had to download the software online also. The Disk would not complete installation and kept freezing up when it was almost through.

Hi, no this one is connected with a usb, the next model is actually wireless, it looks EXACTLY like this model make sure you read the model number if your looking to purchase a wireless printer, it is the Canon PIXMA MG2920. I know another wireless model is also Canon PIXMA MG2922 and MG3020 (looks like this but it is grey and white color). Just a word of advice, ink for this model printer is quite expensive. I didn't to the proper research before purchasing, there's a reason why you will find most people who sell this model have taken the toner out of the box. That's why this printer is usually so cheap. What you can always do is purchase the refill kits for the toner, but you will have to spend $30+ for the initial ink cartridge if it doesn't come with the box. If your looking to buy an all in one printer and you would like a canon I would go with the canon mx922 or the models that look similar to that, they are all wireless and when I was researching they had re-manufactured toner available. If your looking for a good all in 1 printer I would go with Epson. I hope this helps you make a good decision, remember research ink first and then a printer!
