is the brim smaller than normal hat?

Yes. About 1/2 as long. I have also used the baseball cap style. While kiteboarding, wind wants to push the baseball style up and away.

Is there a way to adjust the size? my head is pretty big, i'd say xxl

Try the Dakine Surf Trucker which is adjustable at the back... or the Dakine Indo or No Zone XXL hats. All available on Amazon... Thanks.

Can you wear this scuba diving?

Sure. It would stay on but might drag a bit because of the small visor. You can duck dive a surfboard with it.

Hello, I usually use M/L for hats (I’m a man and my head’s pretty big) and this surf hat fitted me perfect, so I don’t think it’s going to fit you.
