I have a masters degree in art and have been an artist ever since middle school. I’ve always been on the cutting edge of art in one way or another and have had exhibitions all over the country. Then AI came along so I had to try that and was/am very impressed with what can be done after learning the proper cues to generate an image in concert with my intent. After generating images and being excited by the results, I decided to take a bit of a turn at that point. I thought to myself, “what if I converted these AI images into very faint OUTLINE black and white representations, and then color them myself using my knowledge of coloring and painting techniques”? I had to go with the idea. I went on Amazon to see what Amazon has to offer with respect to coloring tools and media and found out about CASTLE ARTS. Actually I had heard of the company before, but had never used any of its products. After investigating its products which include soft touch colored pencils, watercolor pencils and watercolors, acrylic and oil paints in tubes I decided to go for the soft touch colored pencils and watercolor pencils to start with. I was blown away by the quality, ease of use and seemingly infinite number of color combinations that could be made from a simple set of 72 colors and bigger sets to choose from. I also bought an electric pencil sharpener that has a variable point sharpness, which is very important. In my opinion, there is no company that offers higher quality tools and media for artists but what makes it even more amazing is that the price is so reasonable. Curators have seen my works and I’m already getting invitations for exhibitions. Thank you CASTLE ARTS for your great products and your reasonable prices.

This Castle 24 pencil set if beautiful. Buttery soft. Deep pigment. Lovely color palette. The quality is amazing, allowing to ally the lightest layer of color by barely gliding the side of the tip across the paper. Apply pressure lays down vibrant color. This comes with a nice cardboard test sheet that fits into the tin. The tin case has 2 hinges which I love. The 6 step tutorial sheet is very detailed, clearly showing how they apply & layer the colors. The final step is blend with water. It will be a great challenge as I learn to use this Castle watercolor pencils. The price for this quality is truly unbeatable. Castle pencil lead is a larger diameter than my other colored pencils. I have a few brands. I prefer the pencil-on-paper feel of these Castle pencils to my set of 12 primary Prismacolor pencils, which are extremely expensive. I will be reordering Castle down the road

I like that pencils are soft. They are perfect for Neirographics. I don't care for this fancy box: I think it adds to the cost.

Arrived when promised. Beautiful set of watercolor pencils. Each pencil is labeled with the color name. Smooth. Very happy.

Colors are great....

They are nice pencils…but for a botanical themed set…I was disappointed. Botanicals are natures way of showing off….at least in my opinion. These pencils are not very bright…kind of dull. It could’ve been really great with multiple shades of pink to red…emerald green to a deep forest green…and blues from the ocean to sky blues…like I said…a bit disappointing.

These are good for highlights on watercolor paintings.
