Great Product
Received my kit today and immediately tried it out. It sparked very well and I had made fire fairly quickly, no success on my other tinder but within a few seconds with the charcloth - which is what I'd anticipated. Overall great product, overall satisfactory. The only negative I found is that the flint split really - really easily. I wasn't striking very hard, and going at an angle that caused the most sparks with minimal effort and my flint just about halved in two in my hand. I actually ended up with a splinter in my thumb from it. The chunk that came off might be useable on it's own, and the remaining part still functions albeit less comfortable to hold because of the reduced size. Not sure if this is something that will affect everyone, and being a natural resource it's impossible to predict that this will happen. In spite of the splitting stone (again, natural material) I am still giving this product a 5 star review. It functions precisely as it is supposed to and the leather pouch (with belt loop!) is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend this product and may go so far as to gift it to my outdoors-ey friends.

I absolutely love this!
You wanna bring your survival kit to the next level? This is a sure fire way to do it! (sorry couldn't resist) The leather case is beautiful. The flint stone is large and will last a good long while. The fire steel is beefy and well made. The kit comes complete with a small tin of Char-cloth, and as a little bonus a jute twine bag to carry everything, or you can use it as fire tinder. I really like this kit so much I purchased two of them!

Decent Buy
This is a nice kit. The striker is made of nice carbon steel. The issue I had with this kit is the stone delivered. It didn’t have a sharp edge on it. Luckily it is a nice size stone. I ended up having to knap an edge for this kit to work properly. To clarify, the emergency jute tinder comes in a bag form. So, if needed the bag can be disassembled for a nest. The striker showers sparks with a hard sharp edge.

Quality crafted. Well worth the money.
The steel is very well crafted. Nice piece of flint. Nice leather pouch. Great starter set to learn and profect a useful bushcraft skill. I'm very happy and would not hesitate to buy from KonvoySG again. A small business that seems to really care about it's products. I will likely be buying some more English flint from them soon.

Minimal sparks form this one
Nice kit but had issues making sparks with it. Others have said the steel needs better hardening and tempering, which I agree with. Another steel from Coopers Bay works much better.

Konvoy sg fire striker
Works great! One strike fire potential. May need to heat treat it though. I was getting very little sparks. Heat treated it with torch and quenched it in water a couple times and now it stays in my backpack. Have started many fires with just a couple strikes.

So close to what I wanted - But not properly tempered, so worthless striker
As a scout leader, I feel it is necessary to always be well prepared and have experience with different tools. When people see the uniform they expect a leader with experience both with various tools and outdoor techniques. For many years I have been following that mindset. With that in mind, I have been acquiring a multitude of steel strikers, flint, ferrocerium rods, waterproof matches, and any other useful method I see for starting fires while camping. Given my experience, I am able to make recommendations to scouts and other new leaders on what equipment is good to buy and what brand of equipment to stay away from. Have mentioned the above, here is my conclusion: Leather pouch - a very nice setup with quality leather and plenty of room for the kit. I did not try attaching to my belt yet. Included flint piece - Very large nice piece. I usually carry a smaller piece to conserve more space, but this one was a nice size for this leather pouch. Char cloth canister is very small and does have a screw-on lid, so it shouldn't pop open. It is a bit too small to make char cloth, so you better save your Altoid cans for making fresh char cloth. Burlap bag looks nice, but I didn't try anything with it. My main concern was the performance of the steel striker. Steel Striker -- This is a complete failure. While the fit is nice, the steel temper is way too soft and I am unable to make a single spark with this steel striker. I tried about 7 different pieces of flint and the same result with all of them. I can switch to another steel striker I have, and immediately have multiple sparks with little effort with every piece of flint. I will wait to see if I receive a response about this from the company, otherwise, I will return the product.

Very well made
This came super quickly and was package quite nicely. The flint is large and will last for some time. The steel is well made and smoothed for comfort. The leather pouch is perfect for it and will be on my belt anytime I head into the woods. Cannot recommend this highly enough
