This thing works great. No water or debris in my tractor diesel now.
I had issues with my tractor not starting. After several hours of troubleshooting I found the filter inside the fuel tank (yes my Mahindra tractor has a filter INSIDE the fuel tank) was clogged. In the process I noticed a lot of trash of some sort in the fuel tank too. I cleaned the tank and vowed to find a way to filter the diesel in the tank. This filter is the answer. Flow rate is good and it definitely will catch debris and water. I estimate it caught a couple of ounces of water in the first 5 gallons I put in the tractor. And then I took the liquid outside and tried setting it on fire. It did not burn so I am convinced it was water. Don't try this yourself, just take my word for it.

Preferred size/works great
I immediately tested this by pouring water into the funnel and nothing came out. I was sold! I prefer this size to the larger sized due to its design. On this size, the screen reaches almost to be bottom of the funnel, whereas he larger funnel, there is a larger area under the screen that does not filter gas. This is a nice product and would recommended.

Lives up to its advertising. Thank you, Bruce Pender!
Recently, I saved a 14-year-old Lawn-Boy lawn mower from the landfill. I cleaned out the carburetor, put it back together, and it started and ran, and I thought that would be the end of the story. One week later, I started it up and it ran really rough--sputter, sputter, _rev_, sputter, sputter, _rev_--and it seemed like it was hardly getting any gas, even though I had plenty in the fuel tank.Clogged fuel line? Nope. It turns out that it was thirsty for clean gas.I drained out the gas from the fuel tank and gave the carburetor another cleaning, and right after putting the mower back together, I realized, hey, I've got this fuel filter funnel thing I bought almost a year ago with this exact situation in mind. I put the filter in the fuel tank and poured in the gas, and to my surprise, it filtered out a mix of water and impurities that had to have been one millimeter deep. I started the mower up (after putting the gas cap back on, of course), and wouldn't you know it, it started right up on the first pull with no sputtering. This filter has paid for itself in just one use. Finally, you may be wondering who Bruce Pender is and why I thank him. He spends his golden years fixing small engines, and he posts videos of his repair jobs on YouTube (Bruce's Shop). In one of his videos, he used--and recommended--the FloTool Fuel Filter, and I knew I could use a product like that because I had come across another mower with bad gas a few years previously. (Disclaimer: FloTool did not sponsor the video in question, and I am giving them this stellar review with no payment whatsoever.)

Shocked how well this works.
I came across some old gasoline that had been stored in an outside cupboard for several years. I figured the gasoline would have to be disposed of at a Hazardous Waste facility. I came across this product watching a YouTube video so tried it out. This product works! I ran the gas through the filter into my lawn mower and it works great! The filter is easy to use and saved me from having to toss out 15 gallons of gasoline

Good for very small applications.
Works well when tested with just water or just gasoline. When two were mixed together it did not work nearly as well often leaving residual water in fuel.
