I wanted an adapter to connect my Oculus Rift to the NVIDIA 3070 which has only 1 hdmi and 3 dp ports. The hdmi was already in use so I needed an adapter. I tried passive ones but didn't work. This was the cheapest active that actually worked!

A different adapter that I tried did not work for my old Rift VR headset but his one works as it is an Active one or so the forums said. I bought this particular and yes it works for the specific use I need it for to adapt my VR rift CV1 to display port on my GPU . Perfect !

You get your money's worth with it. Haven't tried 3D or beyond 1080p resolutions but for a simple converter to get more HDMI ports; can't really go wrong. so long as you don't expect the world from a $15AU cable.
