This worked great to brush out and freshen my daughter's The North Face fleece winter coat. It's 4-5 years old and was extremely matted, especially the area under her purse strap. After washing and drying it, I spent a of couple evenings with this tool, just brushing and brushing the outer fleece -- I really ripped into it. Piles of fuzzies were removed. The coat now looks brand new and feels MUCH softer...! My daughter says it's like a brand new coat. Just be careful, lesser quality fleece may not come through this process with the same results.

I can only describe this pet hair remover as working like magic! I have two Long-haired cats and my fur babies shed constantly. They tolerate brushing sometimes when they are in the mood (you cat people know how cats are), and my oriental carpet is a pet hair magnet. I have tried everything and spent a bunch of money trying to find something that really works getting the fur up without breaking my back. Vacuuming does not work entirely. I even bought a vacuum that is the same price as a used car (about $2000)!! It doesn't work because the fur is embedded in the carpets. (by the way, I took the vacuum back). This hair/fur remover is amazing! The little "teeth" or ridges on both edges of the rake are small but powerful and they are not sharp so you don't have to worry about cutting yourself or the carpet. I don't have to put much force or pressure to pull the remover back across the carpet to get the hair loose. It also leaves the fur/hair on the carpet so I can pick it up off the carpet. I don't have to fight to pull it off the remover , and there is no compartment that I have to dump all the time. I just simply pick the fur up off the carpet. The only negative is it let's me see just how much hair my little fur babies shed on the carpet. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on all carpets. It works fine on my oriental, but not on the berber carpet that I have. The instructions say that you can use on fabrics too, but I have never tried that. The one I bought is really small with a short handle which is why I am taking a star away and giving it four stars. It works fantastic, but it is too small and expensive. I understand there is a larger version that has a longer handle more like a rake which is even more expensive (Amazon has it, of course). I hate to spend so much money, but it works so well that I will probably "bite the bullet" and buy the larger one despite the expense.

When I first received this item I tried it on my sectional seat where my lab sits by me every night. It worked well getting the hair off but, I was really amazed, and saw how well it actually works, is when I had to separate the sections to clean in between where all the hair fallls. UNBELIEVABLE! In a matter of minutes this wonderful tool collected all the hair which would have taken me at least an hour if I used my vacuum. Highly recommend. Come spring I can’t wait to use it on my car seats.

The Uproot Cleaner is a great hair remover for carpets but we use it for human hair. Here is the situation: We have a staircase with dark carpet strips that seems to be a magnet for hair and dust. We have several gray-haired individuals in the house, so hair and dust is quite visible every time we walk up the stairs. The problem was in how to clean it up. We have a powerful vacuum cleaner but it is an upright model that is not designed for stairs. It, however, comes with attachments such as for upholstery. The attachments are not good at pulling the hair out of the carpet fibers. What we had been doing was to use a squeegee to pull the hair out and then go over it with the vacuum attachment. That sort of worked but it took some elbow grease. The Uproot Cleaner replaces the squeegee and is way better - much more efficient, much faster, gets more hair, easier on the arms, and it fluffs up the carpet fibers and loosens the finer dust. Then we go over it with the vacuum attachment. It looks quite good and does the job in half the time.

Aunque es manual, es muy efectivo para remover pelos de mascotas. Yo lo probé en un tapete y muy bien. No es para muebles.

Tan efectivo que hasta puedes ver láminas de costra y ácaros juntarse como si de cepillo chino se tratara. Una inversión para la limpieza general tengas o no mascotas.

Muy buen producto, para quitar los pelos de los muebles y mantas de mis mascotas. Con el tiempo puede acabar con la tela. Parece una rasuradora.
