Q: what is the color of the backlight?

The backlight is greenish in color

Q: Can the remote transmit through 2 double pane windows? My older Ambient Weather station no longer can.

Hi Fred Yes, I have double pane windows and I received a single from my outside sensor. But I also purchased the smaller Ambien Weather station WS-0101 which sometimes doesn't receive a single from its separate remote. I move it closer to the window and it corrects itself, then back to its permanent location. The WS-2700 fine. Good luck.

Q: Can I buy two and set the second remote to channel 2 and have both consoles display the same information?

It *should* work because the sensors are transmit-only. You could always buy two monitors and try it. If it doesn’t work, you could return them.

Q: What is the actual size of the screen itself ?

The screen itself is 2 1/2 x4 1/2.
