Easy setup and worth every penny
My garage is 100’ away and the WiFi is awesome! I have a 3 story beach home and the WiFi is the same regardless of where you are in the house. Was easy to set up and works great!

Ease of Use but lacks so many features & promises
Lived in a concrete apartment 3 bed rooms. I needed all 3 routers to cover this 1200 sqft home and it still had deadzones. Obviously that's concrete. My real issue is with Mesh Wifi period, not just Netgear. Device Steering is always automatic and it never works. You will always have trouble with devices connecting to the further router & choosing 5Ghz when the device is far away. Stuff like this could be easily solved for us technical people by allowing us to steer devices because we tend to have a couple devices specifically our own that we would like to keep on a set router & a set ghz. I used to own the LinkSys Velops for a couple of year, the connection range is better but the app is more simplified than theirs. Check for other mesh systems that maybe offer better device steering because it's non existent on the orbi's. Atleast Linksys tries.

Warranty issue?
This product worked pretty well. Occaisionally I would have to do the rotating reset dance between the MODEM and the Router and the two sats. But now the Satellites keep disconnecting randomly. Calling to get them replaced (My warranty is up in a couple weeks) is impossible. You call the company and they want you to pay for the technical support contract. Trying to get an RMA is hard blocked unless you want to pay. I did the manual firmware update. That allowed me to connect to the Satellites, but they stil have the intermittent connection issue. Buyer beware. Update. The firmware for the satellites doesn't work. The company knows it doesn't work. And that's the quality you can expect. I'll never purchace Netgear products again.

Great for boosting the WiFi signal and offering multiple points to connect
I updated my internet service and upon doing so was getting sporadic lags during peak times due to all the devices I have connected. The service technician said to get a Mesh router with multiple nodes to help spread out what device is connecting. I found this set and purchased because it has three separate nodes. Installation was super easy once I downloaded the mobile app and connected to the Mesh after connecting to my modem (this replaces the internet service provider's wireless router). I left the main router next to the existing modem then placed one node in my basement and another node in a bedroom where my grandson plays video games. I was also able to connect an ethernet cable directly to the node in the bedroom. When I checked signals via the app, I was surprised to see the different devices throughout my home had connected to the closest node. I walked around the house and watched as my cell phone jumped between the three nodes. Great! My grandson now no longer complains of lag or getting dropped due to having the ethernet connection even though other devices have connected to that node via WiFi. This set was a bit pricey however, it's a NetGear so you get what you pay for. Promptly returned the service provider's router the next day after installing this. Definitely worth the price!

Not Exactly What I Expected But Still Not Bad
Two things surprised me about this product. First, it does NOT support separate 2.4 and 5 GHz and/or Guest and/or IoT networks. The diagrams about the product strongly imply that it does and I for one was surprised to find that it doesn't. It will connect them all, but they are all on the same Mother Knows Best network. One ring to rule them all. Presumably this allows it to connect the devices to the correct network better. Second, my previous router did support separate 2.4 and 5 GHz and I had setup separate networks using different SSIDs. Lucky for me I happened to use the same passwords, because NONE of my 2.4 GHz devices connected to the new SSID, because it was different of course. Many of my IoT devices are a pain to reset to new passwords being outdoor cameras and require a ladder to reach, and I live in Minneapolis where it's very snowy and icy and about -20 outside right now, So not about to scale a ladder right now! Anyway, since I had used the same password, I made the Orbi Mother of All Networks the SSID name of the old 2.4 GHz SSID, and then connected all of the 5 GHZ devices to it. Easy peasie, but it did require a moment of panic and anger to figure it out. I will say that my four outdoor cameras and two IoT switches on landscape lights all work much better The TV connected immediately ( there is a mesh node two shelves down from it now ) and I expect the Chromecast device in the basement will be way much more happier now. So, be warned, the SSIDs are all gonna be one in your future if you choose this product. A little thinking ahead and planning will made that part of the transition much easier if you're using a router with separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5 like I was.
