amCase Chromebook Case-11.6 to 12 inch Neoprene Travel Sleeve with Handle-Black

I have recently switched to a 13.3" Macbook Pro Retina computer and I wanted something to carry it in, without a lot of bulk. This is certainly an acceptable mode of transfer. I have found that the quality of the product is good. Although it is not quick as thick as an iPad case we purchased, this is ample to protect the outside of the laptop while in transit. Regarding the smell - there is no doubt that it has a manufacturing smell to it, but that is due to the material and will fade. There is nothing to be done about that, and unless you are ridiculously sensitive you should be fine living with it until it has a chance to air out. The inside is lined with a nice soft cloth material that feels awesome enough to wear as a comfy pair of PJs. The zipper on the outside pocket of mine had come open (teeth pulled apart) when it arrived, but one zip back and forth and the teeth were back in place and working well. I like the fact that on the outside pocket, the zipper is hidden behind the flap of the pocket itself. Seems that it is a bit less obvious, and would have some extra protection that way. Nice touch. The material is equally thick all around the laptop and offers complete scratch and scuff resistance and medium bump protection. This would likely not completely protect your laptop if it were dropped, but would certainly do a good job of keeping it safe amongst bump and bruises in a larger carry bag, or by itself. The handles feel solid, and add a great feature to carry the somewhat slippery neoprene type material it is made out of. I like that they velcro together to make them seem like one handle (there is a handle on either side of the main zipper, but they will stick together for strength and comfort). They are very comfortable to hold. I am not crazy about the soft rubber zipper pulls, but that is really personal preference. I find hard plastic or metal pulls more easy to use. I suppose I could always use some 550 cord and makes loops if I want, but it really is a nit-picky thing to mention. They function perfectly well. All in all, this is exactly what I wanted for a light-duty protection for the laptop. Also - for those like me who overprotect, this fits perfectly inside the main compartment of the "AmazonBasics 14.1 Inch Laptop and Tablet Case" for days when you want more protection and a bigger bag with a shoulder strap. As a matter of fact, I carried it to work today in this sleeve, inside the other bag, and just unzip each to remove the laptop. Hope this helps for anyone who likes to be extra careful with stuff. If you want a chrome book case that ticks all the boxes than this is it. The handles are a good size and well made and it is very well cushioned for protection but still the right size to pop in a backpack or briefcase if needed.
