My brother's been working as a database admin for a while now but he's getting bored and asked me to teach him about electronics. Apparently he didn't do well in physics back when he was in school and had no idea where to start learning. I think arduinos are a much better starting point than raspberry pis because they are much easier to set up with hardware. Where the pi great for software requiring a real OS, arduinos are great for home iot and low power scalable projects. Add a nice soldering station to the kit and it'll make for a great gift. Though the breadboard and jumpers included means you don't technically need to solder even.

Well packed and a nice kit if you have the manual. Without it the who think is just a collection of parts.If I get the instructions I would rank this product much higher.I have had no response after multiple emails from a number of mail systems. With a little support in the form of a pdf manual this would be a great kit.
