This shampoo is expensive but it’s worth it. If you have gray hair this shampoo can help keep the yellow out and make it white.

My colorist selected this for me to keep my long, gray hair absolutely beautiful. It works and I love it. However . . . it is very thin and liquid-y so I developed a method to get more on my hair than the bottom of the shower. I store it opening side up on my shower shelf. When ready to use, I hold it very close to my scalp with one hand and use my other hand to quickly work it into my scalp and keep it from running off my head. (Yeah, its consistency is that thin.) Make sure you secure the cap closed as soon as you have all the shampoo you want on your head. Otherwise, you can lose a lot of shampoo as it will run out of the tube. Once I get a relatively thin layer spread over a section of my head, I can work it up to a great lather. The lather is not liquid-y like the shampoo and I have no problem keeping my lathered hair on top of my head while, continuing with my shower, and according to the instructions, I wait 5 minutes before rinsing it out. It has been 4 to 5 weeks since I had my hair colored and the color is still true. This is a great shampoo--just be aware it is of a very thin consistency. You'll figure it out and get it right--it's worth it.

Love this stuff! Been using it for over 10 years to keep my blonde as platinum as it is the day I leave the salon. One a week is all you need. Huge later with just a small amount of product. Lasts forever and the scent is amazing! Will forever be a Surface girly!

This is by far my favorite purple shampoo. The scent smells amazing, works very well and cleans well. It does seem to make my hair a little dry, but most do for me. When I get the conditioner it makes it extra soft

This product was recommended to me by my cosmetologist. I have used it several times and it seems to be working well to keep my silver strands bright. The seller, however, needs to consider shipping in a box instead of a mailing envelope. When my shipment arrived, the violet shampoo had leaked all over the inside of the package. Not a pleasant surprise! After reading other reviews, I see that others have also experienced this problem.

Surprised and pleased with how this product is maintaining my color between visits to my stylist. I have brown hair that I color blond, I typically go 5-6 weeks between color. By the last week or two my color would be washed out to a brassy yellow which I disliked. My stylist suggested this purple Surface shampoo to tone out the brass and the results have been great! She told me use it judiciously, about once every 4th shampoo. That puts just the right amount of ash over the brass and balances my color. The rest of the time I use regular no color shampoo. I once used it 2 washes in a row and my hair immediately picked up a faint lilac. That washed out very quickly, and I learned to watch my blond for when it starts to go a little brassy. If I lather and leave this on my hair for several minutes the color intensifies. If I just need a light lift I rinse pretty quickly. I’m pleased with how this extends my color between visits to my stylist and definitely recommend it.

This shampoo makes you look salon fresh. I use it when it’s really time to go back to the salon and the results are so stunning people will ask if I got my hair refreshed

After bleaching my hair, my hair stylist recommended this product to me. It is pretty pricey but I feel like other similar products for a more affordable price can do the same. I only use this once a week so I have yet to finish it after months of using it. Not sure if I would buy again (just because the price) but it's a good product overall.
