Rich's Allen Country White Buttercream Icing ZTF, 28 Pound (Pack of 1)

The media could not be loaded. Before purchasing this buttercream, I did my research. There were some mixed reviews about this buttercream, i.e., after taste, the separation of the product upon arrival. When I opened my bucket, it wasn't grainy nor had it separated. I found that it needed to be put back in a stand mixer. I put it in my stand mixer for 15 to 20 minutes and it was smooth and ready to use. It's sweet like most buttercreams are, however, I was very surprised by how nice the taste was. I think when purchasing a product of this magnitude we have to recognize that in order to have a long shelf life, preservatives will be added. This is a bulk item so there is a slight taste but nothing to off putting. It mixes up nicely and I was able to add color to the buttercream and decorate my cakes I would with my home made buttercream. When baking, I'm looking for short cuts that will support me with enjoying my baking experience and make my baked goods taste amazing and this product does just that. It does not have a shiny saturn finish after putting in the stand mixer but it does certainly look and taste like buttercream. Just with any item, if it arrives badly separated and it cannot be salvaged, reach out to the manufacturer for a replacement. I do believe an item like this should be stored in a dry less humid place for it's longevity. Thus, the customer has no way of knowing what that looks like prior to shipment. I think this product is worth the purchase I'd you have multiple cakes to ice. For a home baker, which I am, this alot of buttercream. So, if you are not baking .multiple cakes, this is not the product for you. My only complaint, is that they don't sell it in half the size for the home baker. I strongly recommend this product and will purchase it again.

The media could not be loaded. I got this delivered mid February 2025. It’s good until 24 May 2025 so about 4ish months. You store it at room temperature. You can pipette pretty well with this stuff. I have no complaints. I’m practicing pipetting with this since it was cheaper than buying some other frosting tubs I saw on Amazon that were only 2 pounds. I kept running out of frosting with smaller tubs when I was baking around 30 cupcakes. I don’t have to manage how much I use with this giant tub. It’s also cheaper to buy this size.

Always the best buttercream to use when im in a rush!

I bought this for my sisters wedding and it made 200 cupcakes plus enough to lightly cover the sides of a “naked” style 2 tier cake (10inch and 6inch 3 layers high each) I was scraping the bucket at the end but it was the exact amount. It worked well, was smooth, not grainy and didn’t taste bad (a very slight chemical smell) the color was perfect, I loved it, not a stark white, a warm white. I would like to buy this again but I’m concerned that if I buy it to have on hand and not for a big project it will go to waste. The expiration date was only 6 weeks away from when I received this! I just looked through the comments and many others had the same experience. I looked for over an hour all over Amazon to find a smaller size bucket of this product to no avail.

This is the best icing ever! Great value, great taste, easier to use. True white color allows me to make any color I want. Definitely won’t be without this.

BEWARE!!! I received a bucket that was dried out, and because I ordered before, I ran out Rich's said there was nothing they could do. I have used this icing for some time because Henry & Henry and Brill were difficult for me to order, and Amazon was so easy. Rich's should be glad I told them, but instead, they said tough luck, you ordered it 39 days ago and not 30.

I make custom cakes out of my home and found this butter cream maybe two years ago. Figured I’d give it a try and oh my god it tastes amazing. I always get compliments on my cakes Frosting and what do I use. I’ve ordered at least 10 so far. I will always recommend this product as well as keep buying it in the future. The only negative I have ever come up with is the price difference between white buttercream (My go to) and the colored buttercreams. The white is almost double the price at times. Which makes sense that it would be a little more. But I’m never going to go through that much yellow or purple buttercream before it spoils. The price for the white buttercream isn’t horrible the price does drop often for a bit saving me an extra $15 which is great for a small time business owner like myself. Although I do wish they had smaller containers of the colored ones to be able to save myself some money without wasting any product. If you have the business coming in and use a lot of colored buttercream then you should definitely go for them. Either way it’s worth it trust me you will not regret this purchase and everyone will tell you how great it taste.

This is a great alternative if you’re running short on time! It will last you a long time and the flavor is great! I love this buttercream and will be buying again!
