2097 P100 Particulate Filter with Organic Vapor Relief, 2 Pairs (4 Filters)

These filters are great. Recommend for Covid, CV-19 Corona Virus, spray painting, sanding, drywall dust, smoke, smog. Way better than cloth face masks in many regards. Paired these filters with a 3M Rugged Comfort Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6502/49489 and it's a good match. I used these genuine 3M 2097 filters For defense against airborne Covid virus. Mask is sold separately. Rated as P100, meaning they block more particles than N95 masks, while also being VERY EASY TO BREATHE through. Way easier to breathe through than a cloth face mask. Turn the filters 1/4 turn to attach to mask. Easy, but make sure you do the whole 1/4 turn so they stay on. I chose these P100 rated 3M 2097 filters to fit my needs (corona virus defense, w/o fogging glasses, & easy to breathe through). Your needs may be different. The right filters can save your health, maybe even save your life.

These were originally purchased for casting lead objects but worked great for painting. They are also higher rated than the N95 masks filtering 100% of target particles and oily most.

I love these. They are not comfortable, not very easy to screw onto the face mask, and pretty expensive. However, I will keep myself forever supplied with these becuase they do their job, and they do it very well. Working in the garden and the compost pile used to almost be a guarantee that I'd be stuffed up and headachy the next day. No more. I wear these, and suffer no ill effects. It also used to be that working outside during allergy season was a danger, despite using sprays and allergy tablets. No more: I wear these and can do what I love for hours. I even grind up bags and bags of leaves, a very dusty endeavor, with no ill effect. And the hardest test of all: I can incorporate moldly grass into the compost and not suffer. The garden never had it so good, and neither did I.

Even with the older bad reviews I decided to risk it and get 2 sets of filters since I can not find any locally. They arrived in international packaging but everything indicated the packaging is authentic. After some google comparison of fakes and real filters, I have good confidence that I have received genuine “imported” filters. As a last test I did do some spray painting and cleaning with acetone, neither were detectable when wearing my half mask. If they are counterfeits, they work well enough for my needs. I still think these are genuine though!
