This product is quite effective in cleaning a carpet. Spray on a pre-treatment mist, brush in the damp, dusty product, let it dry and vacuum. Done, ready to use. It does make a sort of sawdust-looking mess, but that is the essential function of how it cleans - and that residue vacuums up nicely. This is especially good for carpets that are too unwieldy to take outside for a wetter process. I use a floor machine with a soft brush to force the product deep into the carpet/rug - but that may not be suitable for a fragile/delicate rug. It would be good to use the whole batch sooner than later because it is likely going to dry out over a fairly short time and become ineffective.

If you have stains or ordors from pets do not waste another dime on any other product I have tried so many and they did a this actually works in eliminates everything My carpet was like brand new again I did order the pre moistened spray with it to give it the best chance but I will not ever buy anything else for my carpets again this is the absolute best going to order more just to have it on hand it's that good!!!

I have always appreciated this product. Most recently though I purchased the product which arrived partially open with powder spread all over the box and on the other items I had purchased. However, I appreciated that the product was replaced and I appreciated that I didn't have to return what was leftover from the spill as that would have added further mess for me and for the return deliverer.

Was hesitant since some people said it stained their carpet but must be a hit or miss depending on the carpet but I had a dog pee stain that's been on there for idk a couple months didn't expect it to work but i used my bissel floor cleaners carpet refresh function to get the carpet a little wet than sprinkled this stuff on and used a broom to brush in let sit for maybe 2 hours vacuumed and surprised the stain was gone definitely using this more often

Our dog had a loose poop accident on our carpet and it left a bad stain. We used several cleaners that didn't work. We then had the carpet professionally cleaned... twice and the stain kept coming back even worse because the water from the carpet cleaner soaked the stain though the carpet to the carpet pad. When the water evaporated the carpet wicked the stain back up into the carpet. So, I used Capture Carpet Powder and Spray as directed and it worked amazing well! No more stain!

Put it on a white many years old carpet that was not noticeably dirty, but had never been cleaned. Easy to apply comes with a sifter to do that. If you don’t want to get on your hands and knees you need a stiff brush/broom as recommended to get the particles into the carpet.Left it on for an hour and vacuumed it off, couldn’t tell if it really removed much.My vacuum has a light to let you know you’ve removed all the dust and dirt. Using this product on a white carpet you’d not know if you had removed all the very small particles without that feature. The label says it is an eye irritant so pets and crawling children might be affected if you didn’t get it all up.I might try it again on a more noticeably dirty rug.Tried it again on a carpet. The container says 2.2 lbs. or one kilo. So you’ll be vacuuming up a lot of very fine material. This time I cleaned my shop vac and did the first pass with that then the house vac.You decide if you think the photos are different. Taken with my iPhone 13 before and after. My carpet is a very light color and was getting stained. This is an amazing product. It made my carpet look brand new. It was really easy and quick to do. I did let it sit all night and vacuumed it up in the morning.I love the fact that my carpet wasn't wet like a shampooer would do. It smells so much better not getting it wet. It also doesn't pick up dirt like when you shampoo it. I love having beautiful carpets and this product does a perfect job. The picture shows half of the room done and the other half not done. I had to order another 8 lb tub.

Made my shag rug softer and brought it back to almost it's original fluffy. It was starting to feel greasy with all the foot traffic. One down side is that it clogged my vacuum a couple of times because of all the powder (could be my Dyson or I used too much). You also have to vacuum over the rug a lot to get it all out. Again, I might have used a lot.
