Does the dial let you turn back a few numbers or does it only go back to zero?

You cannot turn the dial backwards. And if you turn the dial forwards, it advances all three digits to the left. If you KEEP turning the dial forwards, it keeps advancing all three digits forwards, until you get four zeroes. At this point, you can use the clicker to "record" the number you WANT to appear. FOR EXAMPLE: In order to answer your question, I had to actually perform this on my clicker. I had it on 0005, because I am next going to do Row 5 in my knitting. When I turned the dial (it only goes one way--forward), it became 1115, 2225, 3335, 4445, 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888, 9999, 0000. Then I had to click the clicker once to get 0001, again to get 0002, again to get 0003, again to get 0004, and finally once more to get back to 0005. So, if you accidentally make a mistake, you will HOPEFULLY remember what number was there, or what you wanted to be there! You can always get back to it!

My counter did not come with the lanyard already attached, and I do not see an obvious way to attach it. Anyone know how?

Good Product

I thought the product will come with a tagg, which can be worn on the wrist, but it just came like that. Although the product does justice to what is shown in picture and it is far better one to use than the small cell based.

It is not same as shown in picture the reset knob is of plastic not if metal as well the black thread shown also not there when you actually received order

In images the reset knob is metallic. This is cheap plastic.The metal body is flimsy and mechanism will surely fail soon. Not good quality at all.
