These extensions are exactly what I needed for adjusting my microphone setups. These are smooth walled, which helps with preventing dust build up but also helping with cleaning. They are strong and solid. I've played with my setup quite a bit, and the threads held steady. The length for each section is great, as I only needed one extension distance. Anything more does make it harder on the microphone mount depending on the weight of your mic. Overall, these are perfect, and do the job they are expected to do, while the texture makes it blend into the stand.

Ignore my messy desk but I these extensions to extend one of those cheap mic stands, you know the ones with the springs. Well I needed my mic to reach across in front of me and I added these to it. Now I had to DIY a solution to keep the mic from sagging but it worked out in the end. I basically unscrewed where the mic usually attaches to the stand and then shoved it back and taped it in place. A cheap easy solution. These are well made, solid and easy to assemble. I would recommend these for anyone trying to gain a few inches on their stand!

This is an ingenious way to get a desk mic to the right height. Just screw one or more of these onto the existing stand, to raise the mic clamp by a few inches. A great problem solver. Glad I found these.

A S55 does not fit on my microphone stand with an XLR cable. This extension allows it to do so.
