I bought some cheap imitations which were useless and kept coming I clipped. This is the real thing and whilst expensive for what it is, is comfy and robust.

The band feels better on the skin than the original Charge 5 band. The material, including the lock, is less prone to temperature changes than the original band. Still the classic lock is less appealing than the one on the standard Charge 5 band that has a sleeker tap-on design. Seriously though, the only meaningful downside of this Deep Sea perforated band is that it is very dust prone, can compete with Dyson air purifiers :D Amazon does not let me attache pics to this review to see for yourself. Simple blowing off the dust does clear about 50-60% of the most noticeable dust particles, but the rest remains and needs a hand touch or water cleansing to make it look as new. Update after 2-week usage: In case you happen to spill water while soap washing your hands or similar, get ready to have dried out white dirt piping up quite noticeably from the perforated band. Unlike materials used in Apple Watch, which is quite dust and dirt prone which requires more care. Original Fitbit Charge 5 band is of much better quality, as good as Apple's, than this perforated one. Update after 2-month usage: By the end of 2nd month of daily wearing original band, it looks worth that a year old Apple rubber band.
