I bought another brand of recliner a couple of weeks ago and disliked it so I thought I’d try my luck with this beauty. I love it. My husband and I had it set up in 20 minutes and my feet are up and I’m relaxing as I write this. It’s comfortable and not difficult to push back even though I have arthritis.

The recliner looks great, but when it is in full recliner mode, there is a crease in the headrest that pinches the head. We had to buy a bag of polyfill and stuff the back cushion so it doesn't crease, but adds more support. Barcalounger, Inc. rep said that the chair "meets all of the specifications." Obviously, the designer doesn't have one at home.

We built a 16 x 18 all session room and I ordered these for that room. The room is rustic with reclaimed wood and beautiful big windows. These chairs fit right in. I was concerned in not trying them out before I bought, but they are wonderful. The color was right on, the packaging was awesome, easy to setup and arrived on time. We enjoy sitting in them and having our morning coffee. 5 stars from us.

We loved the chair when it arrived. There was a bit of a pause - we live in the middle of a 26 acre field and about 1/4 mile off the road. The truck would not come up the drive even though we had assured that trucks and trailers come in and out all the time. So, my husband had to take the ATV out to the busy highway where the truck was sitting parked onto and they unloaded onto it. Foolishness! The chair is nice and the leather is soft. It was pretty easy to assemble. There were a few scratches on it but I guess that is to be expected and it will get more. Just wish we had been the ones to apply all the scratches and not some unknown.

I owned an original Longhorn model of this chair made in the USA. It lasted me over 20 years in spite of the fact that I did not take proper care of the leather. I ordered this new model about 2 years ago and it took 4-5 months to be delivered. The original Longhorn was very heavy and solid. The new Longhorn II is vey light and weighs about 1/3 as much as the original. The leather is of poor quality and the chair seat gets stretched and butt-sprung very quickly. The original was much more expensive but was very high quality. The Longhorn II is not.

This chair is perfect for my husband as he is a pretty big guy. The leather is scrumptious. The detail is striking. He loves his chair! And he normally doesn’t even notice the furniture... very well made.

First: We did NOT buy our recliners through Amazon. This review in no way reflects on Amazon.com.We looked at a dozen or more brands, we ended up picking barcalounger. They used to be topnotch recliners, then they were bought by a conglomerate in China. The leather looks to be high quality, the entire chair is covered in this leather, even the foot rest. We started off with a manual model, the back wouldn't stay in position, kept gradually going back, this kept happening even after we got a replacement chair. The store offered us power recline models. They look nice, that's where it ends. They're NOT comfortable at all. I weigh 233, the chair creaks, groans, clicks, moans, and pops, not sure what these sounds mean. The wooden frame is light weight wood, probably 2 steps up from balsa. LOL. For what Barcalounger asks for their furniture it's a bad deal all around.DO NOT BUY

This chair is gorgeous and we could not be happier! It's more of a medium tan color.
