As a new motorcyclist, I frequently pick the brains of experienced riders. One recently asked me about rain gear. I'm covered (pun intended) on my body, since my riding pants and jacket have removable waterproof liners. The rider asked me "Ok, but whatcha gonna do when rain drips off the back of your helmet, down your back under that waterproof liner? Getcha a mask that goes under your helmet!" So I chose this based on other reviews. Thankfully, I haven't been caught out in rain on my motorcycle yet, but I feel confident in this balaclava. It covers my neck down to it's base, so dripping water won't go down my back, but this balaclava is light, thin, and breathable enough that my head won't overheat (unless I wore it on a hot sunny day I'm sure). If I decide to try riding this winter season, I'll likely close the vents on my full face helmet, and wear this under the helmet anyway to keep my head warm. I also like that the face opening allows for the nose to be covered or uncovered.

Hubby walks all over town in all kinds of weather conditions cause we don't have a car. He'd never seen a balaclava before. He's very impressed: lightweight, easy to breathe through, everythang!

Feels great and goes the job. Rode In the 20s all day and face never got cold. Everything was cool but never cold.

My 17 year old son loved this! It can be worn in different ways depending on the task which is great feature. Also quality material and construction. Thank you!

Very thin but okay for Texas cold...cause it is not that cold in southeast Texas
